Supercedes earlier valve that fails
On Hendrickson suspensions -- vantraax in my case -- the previous iteration of this valve was VS-1128. It was superseded by this valve. The symptoms were that the slider pins were not retracting, and when the button was pulled to put air to the bags for the actuators for those pins, only a small puff was being heard. Another symptom was the airbags not going up very fast. One morning they were completely empty after the equipment started rolling, and took a while to fill. So guess what one thing supplies the air to both of those other things. This valve. Changed it and problem was solved. The disappointment was that I changed the previous valve 4 years ago as a matter of preventative maintenance. It didn't even last as long as the original did. In any case, that old part is gone now and since it failed so readily, we can see why.

Perfect Replacement
Once I removed the fittings from the old valve, and installed them on the new one, everything on my trailer returned to normal. My vibrator on the dump trailer would vibrate quickly and then lose all pressure going to it. After closing the vibrator valve and waiting 5 seconds, it would repeat the same. Changing the pressure protection valve on my air tank solved the problem.
