There's a few things I want to explain about this case. I'll try to address them all and explain why I feel this case is almost perfect.I got my S9 plus early, and I really wanted to get it in a case quickly. Im usually really picky with cases. I don't mind if a case is a little bulky if it provides solid protection for my phone. Smartphones are getting expensive, gotta protect the investment, right? Comfort and ergonomics are also really important to me. I like playing a variety games and using imagine editing software on my phone. So its gotta feel comfortable in my hands for long periods. Ive got a fairly severe case of Fibromyalgia and my hands tend to hurt quite a lot and get very stiff. The smooth corners on this case are very welcome. Cases will with jagged edges can be brutal on the hands. They also have a nice grippy texture to hold onto.This case does feel really solid. The polycarbonate portion feels strong and seems to be moderately scratch resistant. The aluminum frame is a nice touch and makes the case feel like a quality item.The corners seem to be cushioned really well too. Itll most likely protect your investment well, should it fall onto a corner.There wasn't many reviews for the S9/9+ version of this case, however I did look at some reviews for the 8 series cases. Several people complained that the S8 cases didn't quite fit well. The fit felt loose, like the phone would partially pop out of the case, if dropped. I can say that they most definitely improved that aspect on their 9series case. It fits super snug on this phone! I cannot imagine the phone popping out of this case at all.I REALLY like the idea of adding the acoustic channel redirecting the sound from the bottom speaker forward. Brilliant idea on their part. This way both speakers direct the sound towards the user now. Sounds fantastic! No more needing to cup my hand around the bottom speaker to redirect the sound!Honestly my only complaint about this case, and I'm knocking off a star because it really is that important to me, is the height of the bezel edge. Im not big on using screen protectors. Ive never found one that I liked. So when I shop for a case, I like one with a high bezel on the top and bottom, so I know itll provide better protection if the phone ever falls flat on its screen. Sadly the lip is not very high at all on this. Which is almost a deal breaker for me. But Im very impressed with virtually every other part of this case, so I feel it deserves a fair review even if I end up returning it to look for a case with higher bezels.Its a fantastic case, and it seems like a variety of screen protectors would fit the phone with this case on it.Ive been using UAG (and occasionally Spigen) cases for years. Since the Galaxy S3! And this is the first case outside those two brands to truly impress me! If X Doria made the lips a bit taller, Id give it a solid 5*! They could easily be 1-2mm taller and still keep the phone looking sleek and sexy.Ill share some pics and show you the difference in bezel height between this case and the UAG one on my S7 Edge.

I'm really happy with this product. Arrived perfectly new. Super easy to pop onto my Galaxy S9. Fit great with a Glass Screen Protector as well. I choose this case because it was clear on the back, so I am able to see the color (lilac) of my phone... have to show that baby off! The metal of the case is a cool, more polished scarab looking tint. More purple/blue on top and bottom, and green/blue on the sides, then the sides of the front of the case are a grey ribbed smooth rubber. The case isn't bulky, and it doesn't bulge out of my pockets. I can use all the plugs without moving the cover and I don't have a problem hearing or being heard through the speakers. Really happy with this purchase, I feel confident that my phone will be protected. I would recommend using this case along with a strong screen protector, I purchased a Glass screen protector.

After reading many reviews I decided to give this case a shot. I really don't think it's worth the big price tag. I will be returning this item as the bezel is not high enough to protect the curved edge. This is a deal breaker. It does look nice but who cares if it protects the BACK more than the front! Whaaaa? For $20 I can get a case that WILL do this job. My S9 plus is a big investment and this case will NOT protect the front. It's a NO for me. Too bad BALLISTIC went out of business. They were the BEST. Better than those over priced crappy Otterboxes.

Great fit for the S9+. The aluminum frame is very rugged and gives a polished look to the whole case. I bought the red, which sets off nicely against the Midnight Black phone. All the ports line up, buttons easy to find and responsive, and the clear polycarbonate back is very nice to show off the whole phone. The back is slick, but the aluminum and the soft rubber impact absorbing material carry over to the back and gives your palm something more grippy to hold onto. The speaker redirection channels work nicely to direct the sound forward rather than straight out the bottom of the phone. Nice touch. I'm sure if I drop it on a rough surface the aluminum will have a few scars and the red anodized surface will scratch away, but that's the point of a case, right? To take the hits so the phone doesn't....

LOVE THIS CASE!!!! Obviously, the 1st thing that caught my eye was the iridescent metal strip around the back... but I looked more into what this case has to offer and I decided to give it a try. Easy to put on, thickens up the phone a bit which I like. Love that the case pulls the phone's speaker forward, that was a great idea. It has a 10' drop rating (let's hope that I never have to test that). The back middle is hard and clear and it works just fine with my charging stand.

I can't speak to the durability just yet as I have not dropped the phone so my review is about projected durability and appearance.My favorite part about this case (besides being clear and the iridescent color option) is that the bottom of the case is a little raised to prevent the clear back from getting extremely scratched. This is something I was worried about when reading up on reviews about clear cases. Yes, there are fingerprints, but it's a clear case and asking for no fingerprints is living on another planet. The case seems very well made and for a good case you should expect to pay a decent amount. It seems like it will hold up as well as cases I've used before like Seidio and Caseology.

The iridescent case was a beautiful color. The shiny, colorful edges and clear back panel are great to show off your phone. However, it does NOT provide any screen protection at all. NO raised or beveled edges around the front to protect the front surface of your phone. Even with a tempered glass screen protector, there was not only a gap, but the if the phone was placed face-down, the screen was touching the surface. Not for me.

Good product works well if dropped on corner. Doesn't offer any screen protection, slight lip so if dropping on flat surface screen will be ok.

My last case was the Spigen tough armor and I wasn't sure if this X-Doria case was gonna be bigger or not.It is a little bigger.There are "slim" tough cases out there if you want to avoid adding a little bulk/size.Strength/Flexibility:I hand attempted to (lightly) bend and test the flexibility of both cases and the Spigen is the more flexible case (soft tpu).This X-Doria case is more hard material and the frame is solid.I still love my old case but this X-Doria case has won me over due to it appearing to be built stronger (heavier material) and having it's clear back which shows the colour of your phone. (which reading this review, should be the Galaxy S9 plus.)Please keep in mind that I wanted full protection and I prefer the hard polycarbonate in my cases as they're less bendable than the soft/flexible tpu.Tempered Glass:I have a regular 9 h tempered glass (an 8 dollar one) and have had no issues with this case.Headphone Port:Unfortunately, my audio technica headphones jack don't fit in case port.Just wanted to share this info.Overall:I've been through 5 cases in the mission to find the correct/right one.I truly feel that this X-Doria Defense is an awesome case and if you don't like the Clear back, then the Lux version would be awesome also.The tough Armor is also great if you like the soft tpu which also has a hard shell on the outside.The two cases I've mentioned are my top 2 cases, and as of right now this Defense from X-Doria is the one that'll be on my case for the next 6-12 months.All my reviews are my truthful honest opinion.Hope this helps people.

Good product. I was in the market for a phone case with a clear/transparent back so that I could showcase the colour of my new Samsung S9 (got the purple one :D). These are the pros and cons I found while owning the product:Pros:- sleek and skinny design; the phone did not feel bulky while in the case- very hard transparent plastic; the plastic of the back piece felt extremely sturdy and tough- titanium border was not flimsy; the case kept its shape*edit: I forgot to add that the design of the speaker really let me hear the audio more clearly.Cons:- difficult to put on/take off; found it very difficult to put on, in fact I ruined my screen protector trying to put my phone in the case (edge of screen protector gripped against my thumb while I was trying to push the phone in - my pushing wasn't moving the phone and it suddenly popped in and the protector peeled up so there was no way to salvage the screen protector in that moment). Taking phone out of case was equally as annoying and I found myself having to push against camera/finger sensor/flash to try and get the phone out (was worried I might be ruining these components by pressing on them so hard)- the corner bumpers were made of a harder material than I was expecting; this may not be a con for some, but if you previously owned an otterbox then you will most likely be disappointed by the feel of the "soft" edges of this case.- screen feels exposed to damage; back of phone is well protected, but the screen itself does not seem secure by the small extended border of the phone. If the phone dropped on a flat surface without any debris it would probably be fine, but obviously outside there are rocks and pebbles all over the ground and something that small would probably crack the screen with this case on.Conclusion: it is a good case for the price, but it isn't great and if you don't have accident coverage like me (applecare and the like), then you will most likely still be worried about the well-being of your phone even whilst protected with this case. Ultimately, I ended up returning the product and found a 2 piece case that would encase my phone (similar to commuter otterbox) with a transparent back piece as I desired.Hope this review helped.

I am really happy I purchased this case! The fitment is great, the buttons are easy to press, and it is quite grippy in my hand due to the rubberized perimeter. I have no doubts that this will be able to withstand any accidental drops.

It is a very nice looking case but the clear plastic backing scratches very easy. I've had the case for one day and I'm a gentle user and it already is covered in scratches. For a $30 case (CDN) I would have thought it would have held up much better than that. Even wiping with an eyeglass cloth scratched it. Too bad as otherwise it is a very nice case. Disappointing.
