I love the product. It works really well. The only thing is it has a very weird odor, but works really well on my hair

I don't think this smells quite as bad as other reviews say, but it's not really a good smell either. Some kind of musty funk going on with it but it's not so terrible I can't deal with it for an hour. That said, it does work extremely well for repairing and strengthening hair. I've been using it the last 2-3 weeks along with the Minimalist hair mask every wash day with excellent results after going overboard with bleach. My hair wasn't breaking off, but my natural curls were damaged enough to lose their curl and my overall hair was dry, frizzy, and tangled. Using this (and the treatment), my hair has regained a good amount of its curl but far more softness and shine than it had prior. It's immensely more manageable and I don't have the horrid frizz and static-y ends all the time now. I'm confident that the more I use it the more my curls will return.

This smells so bad I was gagging the fumes coming off while sitting on my hair was disgusting. Just wafting around my head and I only applied a teaspoon amount to the ends of my hair. Couldn’t make it past 3 minutes and had to get in the shower. Smells like a dangerous chemical. Like gasoline, bug spray and something rotting all combined. Used once along with shampoo and conditioner and caused the worst hair fall I’ve ever had. I had ten times the amount of hair fall out during rinsing. Do not buy!!!

It works amazing the smell is kind of weird though. I have tried all the hair oil. Argan oil, Biosilk, Garnier sleek and shine, verb ghost oil, copper avocado oil mix, K18 I know it’s not oil but I am going to throw it in. This is the best. My hair is very fine and colored damaged. I have hard well water and live in the high desert. I have curly hair but it’s textured so it gets so frizzy. This makes my hair feel so much better, soaks in nicely isn’t greasy. Smells worst the first time you put it on but after a while it gets better and then I kind of like it. I would say though the smell can be off putting for some that’s why 4 stars and not 5. Worth every penny though. I love the bottle and how heavy it is. Plus the price point is amazing. I would try it.

Misleading description on listing .. it says fragrance free but the actual package in real Life when it arrives says it contains fragrance which I have sensitivity too/ am allergic too.. *some field with my hair since it snot my skin I can get away with something briefly if it washes out well.. but this is extremely disappointing.

I truly enjoy this product, I was skeptical about it at first. I assumed it was an oil to leave on the hair but it is not. Its a treatment oil you leave on the hair for up to an hour. Seen people complain of the smell, but given that you will be washing it out i dont see the problem. After my first use it has left my hair silky smooth and I only blow dried after the shower (with a loreal heat protectant serum) I'm on day two and I'm just loving my hair. Im not sure how everyone else is using this but for me I would probably use it ever two or three hair washes.

This isn’t a styling serum. It’s a bonding treatment. Directions say to apply to DRY hair, leave on a maximum of one hour and then to wash hair as usual. So why are folks using this any other way? I followed the instructions and absolutely loved the effects on my coarse bleached toned hair. While it did lift some of the toner out, that was easy enough to fix with my usual tinted conditioner. I just left it on a few extra minutes to make up for the difference. This bonding serum treatment is even more intense than the Minimalist Maleic Acid Bond Repair Mask, which can be used more quickly in the shower for 5 minutes. I thought that product was great but this serum knocks it out of the park in comparison. The serum does stink big time. But my results justify putting up with the scent. I should have put that in this review initially. I wouldn’t recommend using it as part of a styling routine because the directions don’t give that as an option. Using it that way could have negative effects. Otherwise I think such directions would have been stated explicitly on the packaging. So my advice is to use as directed for best results

I really hate scented products as perfumey scents tend to give me headaches/migraines and make me nauseous, I was so excited when I read the product description and saw it was unscented. When I opened up the package I knew this to be untrue immediately. I could smell it through an unopened bottle and the two boxes it comes in. It also clearly has “fragrance.” Listed in the ingredients. I used it because I don’t have money to waste but the smell made me so sick it’s extremely disappointing. I highly suggest they change their product description so people like myself don’t waste their money on a product that’s going to make them sick. I unfortunately ordered it before there were reviews disclaiming the fowl odor. However unlike others who have left reviews what I experienced was just a strong chemically perfume smell not something rotten or mildewy. I think it made a small difference in my hair but I’m not exactly sure. Make sure to actually read the directions, it clearly states to wash it out after a certain amount of time. It’s not a leave in product and the smell didn’t linger once washed out as far as I’m aware. I did triple shampoo to insure the smell was out. I was really excited to try more products from this company as I heard they offered a wide selection of unscented hair treatments. I truly hope this company does update their product descriptions as it has definitely discouraged me from trying any of their other products as I clearly cannot trust the information listed to be accurate.

I have naturally frizzy curly fine hair. I also like to use colour shampoo's alot so my hair was getting damaged. I used all 3 minimalist products and wow. My hair feels soft, easily detangled, curls are defined and less frizz after 1 treatment. The products are a good size and will last you a long time and the price is excellent. I have to say I have had great results compared to more expensive brands. I will definitely be repurchasing.

It is very thin slightly oil coating kinda and strong side smell. Use as directed and helps tame frizz and smooths hair soo much. Also reduces hair breakge with consistent use. Doesn't reduce hair fall.

It is a really good serum, works well as it improved the texture of my hair. The smell is bit weird but I reckon its due to the formula. Great value for money.

It’s an odd product. You put it on dry hair 1 hour before you shower. It’s got a solvent type scent and makes your hair feel like straw when it’s in. But once I wash it out my hair is silky smooth. I do love this product and will continue to purchase it.
