Review is for Hot Cocoa. This is a nice large bag of powder to make hot/iced chocolate. The instructions say to make on stovetop so that takes away from the ease of making. You just need milk and the powder mixes easily. Just be careful on the stovetop to not overheat because it'll clump. Overall drink was very rich and full of chocolate flavor and was good iced or hot. However for the price and effort, I don't know that the taste was all that much better than the easy make hot cocoa mixes that you can make right in your cup without a stovetop. If you are really picky about your cocoa maybe give this a try and see if there's a big difference and it's worth it for you as it pretty rich and thick.

I bought this in the past at a much lower price. But this last time, it was completely different, the color of whatever crappy powder they put in it was much lighter and it smelled so bad. Whatever they did changing the product is awful. Do not be fooled buying this. It is nothing but overpriced dirt or dust. Terrible taste and terrible smell. They can be as greedy as they like but will end up with far less customers because of the new, whatever dust, they put in it. It is nauseating!

I was a little let down by the bag's lack of instructions to make frappe. Upon further inspection, I noticed the bag was Franzese's cocoa mix, not their Frappe, so I'll review this as hot cocoa. Basically, this is a generously sized bag of sugar and cocoa powder, with cornstarch and guar gum to give the drink a thick viscosity. The hot cocoa was unnaturally thick when cooked as directed. While sweet, the drink lacked real chocolate flavor. Other reviewers, based on their photos, appear to have also received the cocoa mix instead of the frappe as well, however, possibly didn't notice and reviewed it as the frappe.

I’m a little disappointed about this frappe mix as it’s actually cocoa mix. The ingredients do not contain any caffeine. Besides that, this cocoa mix is actually pretty good! It’s a rich, thick cocoa with just the right amount of sweetness. It only has one method for preparation, but this can also be made into a blended drink! The bag is fairly large so this’ll last me a while

I am not a fan of paying the high price of frappes, but I am a fan of this. It's not cheap but it's much less and just as delicious as what I would pay if I bought it at a specialty coffee shop. Plus, I can see exactly what I'm buying because all of the ingredients and nutritional information is clearly displayed. It tastes delicious and it's so easy to blend in my home blender. It's ready in minutes and I can drink it right then or take it with me with no additional stops.

This was very easy to make and I had no trouble understanding the instructions. However, I found the taste a bit lacking. It could have a stronger chocolate taste in my opinion. But I might try making it again with more powder. The consistency of it after it’s done reminds me of a frosty. It is thick but I had no trouble drinking it using a milkshake straw. I don’t know if I would get this again though.

I thought maybe this would be good for making rich chocolate milk for my kids but it is really hard to get blended. I’m assuming heating on the stovetop would have yielded better results. It took a lot of work to get the powered middd as well as I did before calling it good enough. The flavor was good on it though and my kids all said they liked it. One said they thought it was dark chocolate because it wasn’t quite s as sweet as they through it would be.

I don't love chocolate frappes. I would never go out of my way to go get one. But that doesn't mean I don't know a good thing when it comes along, and this is very much "a good thing." I'll tell you right now I was floored how well this powder works. Anyone who's had a "real" frappe knows that when blending ice cream you want to make a smooth creamy beverage, while still being thick enough that you're probably going to need a different straw, because what's in the cabinet right now just won't cut it. With this in mind, I had very low expectations; How can some powder, milk, and ice become anything more than a disappointment? To that question I do not have an answer, but I do know "It just works." Usually when blending ice, you get a weird mixture of cold beverage and crushed ice, but with this you do get that full, smooth, rich frappe effect, wrapped in an equally rich chocolate flavor. Decadence. Now If you look at my picture and start thinking it looks a bit "separated" that's fair, because I did add more milk to make a larger serving, without upping any other ingredients. When made properly, this is a rich chocolate experience I would recommend to anyone, especially at barely over 2$ per serving. 5/5 easy, you won't be disappointed.
