I wear woman's size 8 wide width would men's fit better than woman's?

Yes! I always order mens Teva Mush flip flops because the are wider than womens. You lose some color options, but otherwise they look and feel the same.

I have a high arch, and as a result the part that fits between my toes rubs on top. will these work for me ?

I have a high arch and have had multiple pairs of the Mush and Mush II with no fit issues.

I wear mens 10-11 and have a wider foot, Does the "M" stand for medium width?

I believe it does stand for medium. My feet are not wide. I wear a 10.5 shoe and the 11 M fits so that there is about 1/4 to 3/8 inch to the edge of the sandal. At the widest part of my foot I measure 4 inches.

what is the actual length of the size 11 from toe to heel? (I have a pair of Teva Flip flops whith legth of 12.2 inches and my normal size is 11)

11 3/4 inches.I sent mine back because of poor quality. The straps were sewed on crooked.
