This SEAFLO 12v Self-Priming Impeller Gear Pump has been an absolute lifesaver for my Chrysler 300 supercharger oil scavenging project! Finding a reliable and compact pump for this specific application can be tricky, but this SEAFLO unit has performed flawlessly.The self-priming feature is fantastic. Works great, I read the negative reviews of leaks on threads. Easy fix with the British threads add metric o-ring to the fitting and all is well. Pumps well with no leaks. I bought nitrile o-ring kit from Harbor Freight because the large assortment kit is cheap.

The pump worked okay initially but quit after only a few uses and just outside of the window to return it. I would not recommend this pump

Used this for oil changes in a boat make sure to prime for first pull and inlet side use reinforced automotive rubber hose do not use tugging inless heavy wall will collapse about 2 to 3 min to clear a 10 qt oil pan

The fitting size as stated in the Amazon listing and on the package IS WRONG!! The orifice in the pump and the supplied fitting are both a STRAIGHT THREAD also known as NSP and are not a NPT fitting. These are different thread patterns.NPT (National Pipe Thread) and NPS (National Pipe Straight) have the same thread angle, shape, and pitch (threads per inch). However, NPT threads are tapered and NPS threads are straight (parallel). Both threads have a 60° included angle and have flat peaks and valleys.Tapered pipe threads are commonly found on ends of pipe, nipples and fittings (i.e. couplings, elbows, tees, etc.). Note: Sharply angled threads are very critical to joints being tight with no leaks. Thread sealant or tape is typically required to complete the seal.Straight pipe threads need a gasket or O-ring to create a seal.While NPT and NPS threads will engage, they do not seal properly with each other.This product is produced in China where the truth is optional.
