Does this machine have pre-programmed espresso shots?

This machine uses an on/off style brew button, allowing customized shots for any drink you create. Press Brew to start and press again to end brewing.

What should I do if my espresso shots are watery, or my puck is too wet?

Aim for 7-9 grams of fine ground coffee for a single shot, 14-18 grams per double and ensure your puck is tamped well. For double shots, tamp once, add more grounds, and tamp again for a stronger shot. Brew espresso for 20-30 seconds.

How does the pressure gauge work?

When brewing, the needle should fall under the solid gray area on the display. This indicates the proper pressure for optimal extraction. If too high, try less coffee or a larger grind size. If too low, try using more grounds or a finer grind.

What size is my portafilter? Can I use other portafilters in this holder?

Each portafilter is 51mm wide. Both are pressurized to help deliver ideal crema more easily. Portafilters from other brands are not advised since they may not fit with our Slide & Lock portafilter holder.

How do I use the milk frother?

Press froth, wait for a solid light. Adjust steam knob to full steam position and dip the frother wand into milk. For heating and foam, press wand deep into milk. Remove cover for heating only. For stronger foam, keep it closer to the surface.
