This set of knives are nothing short of phenomenal!! The weight is perfect, the feel in my hand is perfect, and the sharpness is astronomically out of this world to say the least!! The handles are a cherry on top of your sundae and look great color and all. The blades being hand-forged and absolutely EXTREMELY SHARP shattered my expectations in a way that I really wasn't remotely expecting, and to top the blades off I can tell that whoever made these by hand is a professional and really has crafted their work with exceptional attention to details, which is quite welcoming since here in the gool old USA we seem to have shied away from making American great quality products which is very sad!! I have cut, diced, chopped, and sliced just about anything you can imagine from all different cuts of meats from beef and pork briskets, beef and pork ribs, chicken all different parts, and last bone, yes you read that correctly. If I could rate this company and their product I'd give them 20 stars if I could!!! So yeah, with that last sentence saying what it says, you can bet the house I firmly and highly recommend this product and would buy again without hesitation!! If you already have this extremely nice, hand made forged steel knives then you already know how awesome they are and the rest of you quit being a procrastinator and put them in you cart and buy them, you WON'T be disappointed!!

The knives out of the box were sharp enough to shave with. Unfortunately when the we're sharpened they did not go all the way to the tip of the blade causing barbs on the tips of all 3 knives. The smallest knife dropped about 8 inches down onto my countertop from a magnetic knife bar and it folded the tip at almost a perfect 90 degree angle. The largest knife seems to have the best weight and balance and I likely won't use the other two because of the awkward shape. It's not ergonomic for cooking or prepping large amounts of food and especially not in a professional setting. The metal will rust expeditiously if you do not wash and dry the knife immediately after use. Overall the value is worth the purchase and the quality is above anything you can buy retail at even double the price. File the barbs, re hoan the blades and take a little extra care with them and it's a great bang for your buck when you're looking for elevated quality from standard box store kitchen knives.

Nice heavy good balance. Handsome set. Handles have a good feel and fit. Not to thick with a good taper for the palm and fingers to hold securely. You'll appreciate the grip because the blades are sharp. Use and time will determine how the sharpness stays. I like the hole in the blade for more control during a more precise cut. BTW, finally got a delivery from USPS within 48 hours after I ordered through Amazon.

I will address the packing oil question first- it’s to keep the blades from getting any surface corrosion/rust while they are sitting before shipping- just wash it off before use. These knives are sharp and heavy! I cook a lot and they have held up well. I have cut on a variety of surfaces and I definitely would recommend buying if you’re thinking about it. I have cut directly on my cast iron top, wood cutting boards, pizza stone, and concrete outdoor countertops. With all that said the edges have remained intact and sharp. **Disclaimer** I do NOT recommend cutting on hardened surfaces I.E. stone/concrete/cast iron. I’m just give honest use of the knives, as they live in a big outdoor kitchen and are used a lot. Care- just washed and dried after each use and I wipe them with good quality olive oil, OR I spray them with PAM cooking spray. As for being sharp, be careful and keep away from kids and inexperienced people- definitely not a toy as they are sharp. The heft makes it easy to cut. Overall a good knife set that is very inexpensive- have ordered 2 more sets as gifts. Hope the review helped

I purchased these as a gift for someone and upon opening they seem to be very well made and balanced. They were also very sharp when checked. The friend I gifted them to was very happy to receive them.

Absolutely worth every penny. Theses are hands down my favourite knives to use in the kitchen they are super sharp and work well with whatever you’re doing. Warning though super sharp watch your fingers they dont feel good cutting yourself

I got these knives today. Im not aure if this is normal or not but the knives were greased with what looked like and smelled like WD40. It was a brown grease and had a very steong chemical smell. I dont know if that is normal or not therfore im not taking that 8nto consideration for my rating and review. I went ahead and cleaned it off very well. I then used one of the knives to cut my bell peppers and holy cow it just went steaight through it so well and the juices from the bell pepper just ran down the knife and it was so shiny and beautiful! Then i went ahead to cut my sausage and lemme tell u it went straight through it! It cut straight through the skin! When i used my old knives i literally had to saw it through and it still didnt cut properly! I had absolutely ZERO struggle with this knife! In fact the knife is so sharp when i ate my meal i found a black piece of rubber plastic in my mouth. I took it out of my mouth and it was so smooth on the edge! I realized the knife cut straight trough the rubber tongs i was using to hold the sausage in place while i was cutting it! The knife just went right trough it so smoothly i was unable to catch it! I can testify to how awesome and shar these knives are but i cannot say how durable they are and how long they will stay sharp so i will come back and revisenmy review. If they do last i will change it from a 4 start to 5. I cant give it a 5 ywt because i have no clue how well they will preform over time.
