You need the original Smallword board game to use it. This set of three expansions is great, we had trouble understanding one of the new power (the behemoth), but otherwise it's a great addition to the original game.

Ordered this during a flash sale. Get all excited to add it to my collection... and it's a "Chuck-It Bucket with 8 Dog Balls". Well.. that was disappointing. Fine, screw ups happen, it's why they have a return feature. Setup for a replacement, arrives quickly... it's ALSO the dog balls. One time is a screw up, twice in a row with the same issue is a problem. Sent that one back too and got a refund. The actual expansion, it's fine. Adds more races and powers. Be cool to get the 1st Power Pack, but this one is fine. Nothing really to it, if you want more from SW, this helps. Just be warned, instead of hosting board game night, they might think you want to play fetch with Fido instead.

I gave this as a gift and its been a lot of fun to play with the game extensions over the past few months! Most of the races and abilities in this pack are great additions to the game. Also I'm glad the the packaging comes with a lid for the token tray - it helps keep the game from getting to be a mess in the box!

As if there weren't enough ways to play the vanilla game, this just makes things that much more fun. Such a huge expansion that is well worth the price.

The expansion is pretty straightforward, just adding more races and powers. Generally they seem balanced at first glance, though forest shrubmen seem really overpowered, and will probably be banned in my house. Four stars (even thought of giving three) is because only one reference sheet was included. Really?! Good thing I have a printer and was able to make copies of it for other people that came over to play the first time after I bought the expansion -- but crappy black and white sheets are still not exactly ideal, you know? One more complaint, albeit minor, the tray is not designed to contain all the tokens together, and white ladies and priestesses had to be put in the same section (or all behemoth tokens would have to go elsewhere). This messes with my OCD!

En primer lugar, el juego llegó en excelentes condiciones, además de que lo conseguí muy barato con todo y que fue importado desde EEUU. En segundo lugar y quizás más importante, las nuevas razas y poderes que vienen en esta expansión aumentan muchísimo la diversidad general del juego, lo que lo hace sumamente divertido. Definitivamente recomiendo esta expansión, ya que sigue respetando la jugabilidad y balance general del juego. Compren esto!!!
