Works and smells great!
For those complaining about the smell, maybe natural products just aren't for you if you prefer artificial chemical fragrances. The benefits of this oil for African, coily, hair are incredible. No need to wash it out like many instructions tell us. That's not for us unless you are specifically trying to use it as a prepoo. But at this price, I'm not washing NUTHIN out! I use it like a hair grease for my scalp then i take some between my palms and do the praying hands method down the length of my hair. Then I use either flaxseed gel that i make or a natural gel like kinky curly on top and twist my hair up and pin away my ends. When i tell you this stuff keeps your hair so soft and moisturized! Used this about 2 weeks and on my wash day my roots had already thickened and next to no tangles or single stand knots i normally struggle with. This is the goat for length retention. It literally makes hair feel completely different than any other oil. I've moved on to buying the 16oz tub from RA Cosmetics because I can tell I'll be using it long term and this jar is just too small for thick hair. Just get it and don't whine about the smell. If it's that bad to you, add a few drops of lavender oil and keep it pushin. But dont bash a product with such a rich history and great uses just because you aren't used to how it smells.

Transformative Results with 100% Natural Raw Batana Oil!
I've been using the 100% Natural Raw Batana Oil for Hair Growth from Honduras, and I can't say enough about how incredible this product is! First and foremost, the fact that this oil is 100% natural is a huge plus for me. I am very particular about what I put on my hair and scalp, and knowing that this oil is derived from pure, raw Batana gives me peace of mind. The quality of this oil is evident from the first application. One of the most impressive aspects of this oil is its effectiveness in promoting hair growth. After just a few weeks of consistent use, I noticed a significant improvement in the thickness and length of my hair. The oil feels nourishing and absorbs well without leaving a greasy residue. Additionally, this oil has worked wonders in preventing hair loss and eliminating split ends. My hair feels stronger and healthier, and the split ends that used to plague me are now a thing of the past. Both men and women in my household have used this product with great results. The pleasant, earthy scent is another bonus, making the application process even more enjoyable. It feels like a luxurious treatment every time I use it. Overall, the Dr. Sebi Hair Oil from Honduras has exceeded my expectations. It has truly transformed my hair, and I couldn't be happier with the results. I highly recommend this product to anyone looking to improve their hair's health and appearance naturally. It's a game-changer!

Seems to be working for softness so far...
The smell isn't bad at all and waiting for the oil to saturate your hair is very easy. My hair is seemingly softer after each time I use it in my hair for at least 30mins before washing and conditioning. The only con I have is the application. It doesn't spread easily so I manage to have large deposits I have to really work on spacing out. Other than that, I am happy for the softness. Hopefully it will add to growth as well using it consistently.

Tiny but powerful
It’s a small jar, but will last plenty, many uses. label is printed very tiny so hard to read it, I like how it smells just like coffee. But scent can also be a little overpowering and can also give hints of tobacco which is interesting… It came with a seal of protection which I appreciate. It feels like an oil in solid form melts quickly. I got it for the benefits I read about Honduras batana oil, great for skin and hair. I really like it, It’s very moisturizing and it says it helps with hair growth. I either soak my ends and scalp in afternoon and wash the next day or apply after shower. Adds lots of shine. Too soon to say if it’s help with hair growth but definitely has added moisture and hair looks full and healthy. I like it, it’s different. Update 6/25 I wonder what are all the ingredients in it scent is strong I only use a spoon size to apply to roots but feeling a little light headed which has me curious on what are all the ingredients.

This product was questionable to me
I wanted to use batana oil because although I have always had hair fall out when I’m in the shower it seems like there’s way more that comes out than usual the older I get. I was disappointed to find that the ingredients doesn’t say “batana oil” in particular. It says Pure “American” Palm Nut Kernal Oil (Elaeis oleifera). So also this is not from Honduras. So if you go by the pictures on the Amazon site, it is a little deceiving to me, but if you scroll and look at the description it does say it is made in the USA. Because of all the good reviews, I wanted to give this a try. I mixed globs of this with some coconut oil to get through my hair more easily. While I was doing this a lot of my hair was being pulled out, but I assume it’s hair that was going to come out anyways eventually, but idk if this was considered normal. I left it in with the shower cap on for about an hour and 30 minutes. My scalp was burning up a little bit, but I kept it on anyways which was my decision. There is a caution label on there that says discontinue use if irritation occurs. So after my shower, my hair was a little better. I use fragrance free products. I put some leave-in-conditioner and hair food oil in my hair afterwards. And my hair is alright, not bad, but not great. It was not what I was expected. I’m literally looking for astonishing results where I can say my hair is so soft and nourished and I don’t think I can say that with this. So far my hair feels more thin, just not so full, but I think that’s just because of the process I just did and I think if I use real batana oil over time, my hair could get fuller, but it’s still kind of softer and nicer though. Anyways, I don’t think I’m going to use this anymore. I want real “batana oil” from “Honduras” that I can be sure about.
