It reduces road noise and noise when other vehicle passes, and when I close the door, I hear thud instead of tin can sound. **Q: Is the exterior, metallic, coating conductive?** A: No. I just checked it with my VOM and it has zero conductivity. Actually seems to be a great insulator. **Q: Can you safely usethis to sound proof walls indoors? Thanks** A: This is for car doors with metal doors not home walls with wood and dry wall. There are different materials for home door sound isolation. **Q: Can you glue a headliner directly to this product ?** A: I wouldn't. The headliner will be uneven. It would be better to spray a foam on the product to get an even surface before you do that. But you can glue fabric, such as carpet to it with the proper adhesive. 3M 77 is my product of choice. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great value for a great product *by on Reviewed in the United States 28 December 2025* This stuff is thick and worked great for sound deadening my truck doors. I was a little skeptical based on the price but they have great adhesion and are very thick. They don’t smell bad and the foil didn’t tear easily. Definitely plan on buying more for the floor and firewall when I get around to doing that job. ### ⭐ Pointless. Makes no difference. *by on Reviewed in Ireland 21 September 2025* I took great car to install these properly in my cars wheel arches. It made absolutely no difference whatsoever. Pointless. ## Frequently Bought Together - CANOPUS Car Sound Deadening Mat, 80 mil 18 sqft, Pack of 9 Sheets, Butyl Sound Deadener Mat, Audio Car Sound Dampening Material for Car Trunk, Door, Floor and Ceiling, Black - LUMITECO Bearings Equipped Automotive Car Audio Sound Deadening Application Wheel Roller, Heat Abatement Mat Wallpaper Application PU Smoothing Tool Seam Roller - Siless Liner 157 (4 mm) mil 36 sqft Car Sound Deadening Closed Cell Foam & Heat Insulation mat - PE Foam Sound Deadener Material & Heat Barrier --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.sn/products/581255153-canopus-car-sound-dampening-mat-80-mil-18-sq-ft](https://www.desertcart.sn/products/581255153-canopus-car-sound-dampening-mat-80-mil-18-sq-ft) --- *Product available on Desertcart Senegal* *Store origin: SN* *Last updated: 2026-11-02*
