My dog is a picky eater but actually enjoys this brand of vegan kibble!

This food was pretty good for my 1 year old 27lb heeler. She eats it with enthusiasm, but for the sake of an honest review I think I should note she does that with almost all food. I took a few weeks to transition her over and I did not notice any digestion issues and she is still full of life and energy. I like that it has a lot of protein since my heeler is a very active dog and they tend to be on the stocker end once fully matured. I can't fully state if all the claims in the description of this food are true since my puppy has always been healthy and her breed is known for being healthy, but part of me did feel like I was giving her the high life when feeding her this food. The packaging is good and I like that is able to be sealed back. I will note though that I received my food in early November of 2023 and the expiration date is in February of 2024. With that being stated if you are the type to buy in bulk I would advise against such if you have a medium dog, or at least be mindful of such. Overall I am happy with this food and I like that this company has sustainable ways of producing their food in addition to spreading awareness of your carbon footprint.

I am a vegan aware of the suffering and torture in the farm industry and have not eaten meat for most of my adult life but my dogs have. I decided to give this a try. My dogs and cats eat like kings and queens with people food ..home made squash, mashed potatoes, grilled chicken, gravy ...everyday is like a thanks giving dinner. I suipplement with dry to make sure they get what they need. My dogs might be the last dogs to want to eat something else besides what they get but they are OBSESSED WITH THIS DOG FOOD!!! EVEN MY CATS LOVE IT!!! ..so I will be ordering smaller chunk sizes as well (I have huskies and 2 cats). My huskies love this food so much, they growl at each other if they get near the bag and I swear I have never seen them don this with other things. So, all I can say is WOW -- HUGE HIT at our home and I will be buying this for as long as they are alive and loving it!!!! I get to give them something they love that is healthy and save lives and stop suffering at the same time. Normally my dog will eat about anything but sometimes about the smell apparently, at his approach, turned him off… I added some to his normal Purina Pro Plan and he hesitated to eat that

My dogs are picky eaters, but usually if I add wet food they will eat anything. With or without wet food, they still did not eat it. I would not recommend if you have picky eaters.

My pets really like chicken. We mix baked chicken thighs with dried dog food for them. They go nuts for the chicken but we worry about their eating too much, so we also add dried dog food. Nature's small breed senior is one they like. Probably because it is blended to taste like chicken. You can see in the photos that they are eager to get to it and are sitting patiently. Once they are given the go signal, they rush to the food and gobble it down. I did a little research on dog food and compared it with the ingredients used in Nature's senior dry dog food. I couldn't find anything that was on several sites as being bad. I'm comfortable that there isn't anything that might cause a problem. There were also sites that listed ingredients to look for in small dog senior food. This has them. About the most important being the protein. But I'm not sure how much Omega fatty acid is present. One of my dogs showed great improvement in inching with Omega 3 and colostrum. I'd probably have to keep giving that as I didn't see those listed. We also give them treat every morning of real cooked liver and kidney. They get very little, about 1/5 of an ounce of liver or kidney daily.

None of my dogs would eat this. I ended up giving it to my chickens and they enjoyed it.
