Good value for your money.
This shaver is a good value for the money. It gives me a decently close shave and does not cause any skin irritation issues for me. The trimmer on it is easy to use and does a good job. I replaced another similar shaver of a different brand with this one and have found this one to be far superior in quality and performance. It also goes much farther between needing recharging than my previous shaver ever did. I would definitely recommend this brand to anyone.

Easy to Use, Comfortable Shave — Solid Electric Razor!
I’m really pleased with this electric shaver overall. It’s easy to use and simple to clean, which makes it great for everyday grooming. I usually use it dry, and I’ve never been nicked — it feels gentle on the skin yet still gives a close, smooth shave for an electric razor. It takes a little time to get into all the crannies on my face, but I’m happy with the quality of the shave and the battery life so far. 👍 Pros: ✔️ User‑friendly — easy to handle and operate each time. 🧼 Easy to clean — rinses off well after use. ⚡ Close shave for an electric razor — very good results without much irritation. 🔋 Battery life — lasts long enough for multiple shaves before charging. 👎 Cons: 🔹 Takes a bit of time — need a few minutes to reach all spots, especially around curves. 🔹 Not as close as a manual razor — expected with electric shavers, but still worth noting. Overall, I’d recommend this razor if you want a dependable, easy‑to‑use shaver that’s gentle on skin and holds a charge well! 😄

Improved Model
This is the "improved" model, using the thin plastic membrane flexible cutting head mount that began about 2022--it does do a better job conforming to chin areas than the older rigid mount. Another change newer than 2022 is it does not come with a charger--user must buy a 5VDC cube with proper USB connector. (This change also comes with the new warning to not turn the shaver on while charging.) Using NIMH batteries instead of LI-ion means the charging time from dead is now a claimed 8 hours. Oddly, mine, which arrived dead, only charged for about 40 minutes before its light registered steady (full charge). I measured its charging power draw at a max of 2W, which tapered down to 0.4W at the end. So, only about 1.5 W-hrs energy put in. Turns out the claimed 5V and 1A power printed on the case is the maximum charging rate, not the motor draw. A 25 minute no-load motor run on mine, followed by charging back to full, made the estimated motor draw only 0.1A if it is 5V, or 0.2A if it is on a 2.5V battery as AI estimates. (AI also estimates the battery capacity as lying between 0.8 and 2.0 A-hrs.) Assuming the motor full-load draw is about 1W, even the lowest battery capacity AI estimates would store enough energy to allow the 40 minutes or so run time claimed in the shaver's instructions. Fortunately the whole 3-cutter head can still be removed and disassembled for cleaning if one doesn't want to do the alcohol soak/squirt suggested by the manufacturer. All good, but would have gotten 5 stars with a power supply and Li-ion batteries.

Good shaver
I have one of these for some years, and just bought anohter one for my son. It works satisfactorily, and has a reasonable price. The one thing that should be improved is the charging connection: it charges from a USB charger, which is good, but it needs a special cable (included) because the charging connection on the shaver is not a USB connection. They should put a standard USB port there, so I could use one of the numerous USB cables we have, instead of having to keep track of the special shaver charging cable.

Fine basic rotary shaver
Took 7 weeks for this to arrive, I suspect it was presold, none built until all orders in. I had been a user of Norelco shavers for decades, then I deviated from the path, first chinese knockoffs of the classic triple headed shavers, then some foil shavers. The knockoffs while having more features didn't shave as well. The foil shavers certainly shaved close . . . too close. The key to any triple head shaver is the cutters and combs. It would seem anybody could do that, but coming back to the inventor proved me wrong. It's not the digital displays, not wet or dry, not the angles, rather the steel alloy of the cutters and combs. This is where Norelco excels. The foil shavers were so noisy, excessive vibration, and dusty due to their reciprocating motion. Yes they shaved closer, but not as comfortable. By contrast, this rotary shaver is so quiet that the noise you will experience is the actual cutting of the stubble on your cheeks. So as to this model, no percent charge, just a flashing red light to charge, plenty of charge left to finish. Seems I'm getting 2-3 weeks between charges. Subtle feature, the on-off switch is located away from the natural grip, hence you won't accidentally switch off the shaver.

Decent Basic Shaver, but Limited Performance
The Philips Norelco Shaver 2300 is an okay option if you’re looking for a simple, entry-level electric shaver. It’s lightweight, easy to hold, and the rotary heads move smoothly over the face. Battery life is decent for occasional use, and it charges reliably without issues. However, the shave itself is only average. It works best on light stubble, but struggles with thicker or longer hair and often requires multiple passes to get a reasonably close shave. Compared to higher-end models, it doesn’t feel as powerful and can miss hairs, especially around the jawline and neck. It’s also not ideal if you’re looking for a very close or clean shave. Build quality is acceptable for the price, but it feels more basic than premium. This is fine as a backup shaver, travel option, or for someone who shaves infrequently, but daily users may find it underwhelming. Overall, it’s functional and affordable, but performance limitations keep it from being a standout.
