Delightful! Beautiful!
Oh, this might be my new favorite children's books! I am a mother of 4 young ones and we are always on the lookout for great, living stories for our read alouds and this one does it! I especially love the illustrations. This will be in our library for a very long time.

Inizio col dire che le illustrazioni ad acquerello di Qin Leng sono semplicemente deliziose: leggere, dettagliate e perfette per rappresentare Jane Austen. Rappresentano in modo minuzioso la moda del tempo e il modo di vivere dell’epoca. Il libro è fatto benissimo, racconta la vita della Austen spiegando come sia cresciuta seguendo la sua curiosità naturale e la sua passione per la scrittura. Un vero incoraggiamento a seguire i propri sogni con tenacia. È presente anche una time line con la vita dell’autrice e un elenco dei suoi romanzi, con le citazioni più famosi e la trama spiegata in poche righe. È un libro davvero bellissimo, sia per bambini perché incoraggia a seguire le proprie passioni, sia per adulti che amano Jane Austen.
