Was it made for PlayStation 3
Game is fun, but feels like and looks like something for the PS3, so do not get too excited if you decide to purchase, or at least wait until itโs reduced in price to at least ยฃ19.99, Shame as I was looking forward to this, but sold my copy on eBay for ยฃ30. If you want a great looking arcade game, you need Forza Horizon 3

this game is Not as bad as some might have you believe
First off, this game is Not as bad as some might have you believe. I play a lot of driving games, across both the ps4 and Xbox one, and although this isnโt of the graphical splendours of say any forza title, or a full blown sim of say Dirt, or even an open world experience like the crew., it does bring a little of its own charm to the table. Out are the full blown realistic physics of a serious driving sim, but in come the fun races and tracks normally closer associated with an arcade racer akin to Sega Rally. In fact I would say that was the closest game to compare it to, but with Gravel providing the player with more cars and tracks to indulge in. Now clearly there are some differences with Sega rally, as you would expect. But I can honestly say it scratches that Sega Rally itch, left behind from several years in the titles absence. And if the developers of the title said they used Sega as a major influence, it would not surprise me in the slightest. As mentioned, the variety of cars and tracks is more than generally on offer with a Arcade racer, and with some good level of variety in both. The vehicles on offer are real world recreations, just without the serious simulation physics, and high polish graphics you expect with titles like forza or Drive club etc. The Graphics are not bad, just scaled back to a more than competent representation. The track variety is good, quite well polished considering the arcade market itโs aimed towards, and more importantly the whole package can be fun, providing your not looking for what this title never set out to be. If I could level just one criticism at this title, it be for the longevity of a play session. By that, I do not mean the game has no long life to enjoy. But more on a session by session basis. Because the games strengths can also be itโs weakness. Mainly due to the fact that even though there are goals to working through the various tracks, leading to further track and car unlocks. There are those moments where you feel the fatigue of say it not having a full blow season by season career mode, normally within the more serious racers. However, there is online multi play, which I am sure more than breaks up any monotonous feeling in gameplay after a few hours. To me, itโs not a problem. But I mention it because I appreciate it might be for some. But given itโs an Arcade oriented title, this is to be expected. In short, this is a great buy, if your just interested in driving round a good bunch of tracks, in a good variety of vehicles, and just want to kick back and burn through a few hours, and have fun doing so. At its current selling price, itโs more than worth your curiosity.

Underwhelming.
Iโve spent a couple of hours playing this and - in my personal opinion - thereโs not much really to recommend it (it doesnโt help that Iโve recently been playing the likes of Forza Horizon 3 and WRC7, both excellent games). Other reviewers have commented on the PS3-level graphics, and I have to agree. But I can live with mediocre graphics if the gameplayโs good. It isnโt. Itโs not necessarily bad either, just... well, all very average. Maybe something to pick up for a tenner, but definitely not worth paying forty-odd quid for.
