I already use the white version of this light, so ordered this black banded one to use in my son's room as he prefers the darker design of it. This is so easy to install. Although there are some scree connectors for the wiring included, I actually used some other connectors that I already had on the ceiling from the existing light. The bracket requires screwing to the ceiling, which only takes 2 screws to secure it. The light then simply slides on and locks in place, with the electrical connector also hooking up. The light will turn on using the last chosen colour or whiteness level. You can then use the fully functional light to change the brightness, whiteness tone, select colours or have patterns of colours changing automatically. It's the app that adds the extra level of fun to this light. It connects up very easily using the Smart Life app, which guides you through the setup a d connection to WiFi. Once connected, you can use the slider to change colours, alter the brightness, etc. There's also a timer option (requires the switch left on) or other automated options. Even better, it automatically connects to Alexa or you can use Google. I can ask Alexa to turn the light a certain colour or brightness and it instantly changes. It works really well. I like that the light is also a decent size, so the output is good, lighting up the room. The light is excellent value for money for what it does. Definitely recommended and my favourite style of ceiling light in my home.

Easy to fit and, contrary to expectation, very bright on the white settings. I didn't pair it to my phone as the remote does me just fine. (My smart lightbulbs were a right pain so happy not to have to bother.) Will probably buy more of these soon.

Bought this item for a young child with a sight imparment, normal LEDs hurt her eyes. This item is fantastic as she can set it to her prefered colour and brightness. One happy little girl.

Does the job

Fitted light about 2 weeks ago was simple process however the software app to link to alexa was nightmare. After just over a week heard slight hum noise when white light was on but not when colours was used. Today had white light on for around 20 mins then it went off. Tried to get alexa switch back on didn't work. Soon as I loaded app seen it showed offline then seen a flicker of light followed by sparking noises and burning smell. Isolated electrics removed light was very warm and elec burn smell. Returning and wouldn't recommend as possible fire hazard

Is great when pairing to Google home, I can ask Google to change the colour and it will do so, it can also be used with your alarm, I’ve set my light to turn on at 6 AM everyday and it does so without fail. You can set it to bright hospitable ward blinding or relaxed dim blue. Also great for lazy people or if your in bed you can turn it off or change colour from Google home or assistant. Fairly straight forward to install.

Fitted yesterday, not had a chance to mess about to much but looks good, kids (room) love it. Maybe just me but instructions advised "turn counter clockwise" to remove base mounting plate already attached to fitting , when in fact it just slid out. Very easy to mount to be fair sliding in and connecting. Hoping it has flood option over lapping circumference on ceiling as that wasn't happening on the first five minutes of playing with remote. Hopefully kid's have worked it out by the time I get home later. Good trendy fitting for young kids room not forgetting really, really bright standard cool white option available for tidying up the afore mentioned room after the kids. Very very bright!
