Useful Tool for Calibrating Home Theater and Audio Systems
It seems natural to want to have a library of test tones to be able to individually select and play through the multi-channel audio system you pieced together from the finest components and speakers you could justify. Unless you evaluate your audio system using a non-subjective means such as this collection of primarily pure frequencies (and a dB meter), how will you ever know when its time to stop spending money? Or be able to prove scientifically beyond a shadow of a doubt that, yes, you actually did need to buy different speakers or invest $800 in Auralex acoustical room treatment?Not sure if your subwoofer is sub enough? I recommend cranking up track #7 for 10 glorious seconds of 5 Hz. Be careful-- you could fry something!I recommend this disc as a useful tool. I fault it a star because there is no printed track listing that comes with it. I was expecting more, something more professional to test and calibrate speakers and individual drivers. Many free ones like this online from Audio and DIY sites that I already have. I was hoping this would have recordings without the clicks between test, also the test signals are too short when using equipment to calibrate, doesn't give enough time. Only about 1/4 of the actual CD is used so it had plenty of space to add more time. I think it's overpriced for what you get. For basics it's fine but can be had for much less!

I would have liked more left end right sounds instead of both at same time. The pink noise was good to check that both channels were coming through well balanced, i.e. in the center as it is supposed to be.

Does what it says it will. Frequency sweeps that exercise the speaker system. Would not consider this a diagnostic CD, it simply emits various frequencies. What you do about that aural info likely will require additional testing, e.g frequency generator. Price wise clearly way overpriced. As others have mentioned there are other similar tests available online for download.

Works just fine when used with the BAFX Sound Level meter.

Solid Test Tones!!
The test tones were on par and helped tune a 5 amp system which normally would have taken forever!!! Anyway the best was the gap inbetween tones. It allowed plenty of time to change my oscilloscope connection.

Easy to use
Easy to use. Voice identification of the frequency of each track on the frequency sweep section is very helpful.

Great audio samples, Not much on the paperwork
Works great. Very well done and super useful. But like others have said, you'll need to notate your own index in order to know what track is what.
