ZooBoo Men's Linen Kung Fu Training Pants with Drawstring Waist

I’m 5’6”, female, with a 38” waist - a little chubby - and was looking for laboratory work pants with pockets that were comfortable enough for everyday and could pass for office if needed. These are awesome. The fabric is soft, luxurious and thick, the pockets roomy. The first pair I bought according to size chart and discovered that while the waistband did stretch to fit easily, it was almost uncomfortably tight. I had also noticed some vertical shrink if you put them in the dryer. I sized up twice to put my waist closer to un-stretched waistband and washed the second pair, and now they are just perfect for what I want. Not too long, not tight, drawstring humorously unused. Will be saving up to buy another pair soon, wish they came in blue or green. :D

I'll keep it brief. -I am 5'7 and about 175lbs with an athletic build. The fit is perfect and it drapes well -The material feels thick enough to be durable and not see through while also thin enough to be breathable. Not stretchy though which is why I got a larger size. -The pants bunch a little at the bottom but don't drape over my feet -The pockets have enough space for my hands and are not too small -I would wear these casually but I will mainly use it when I practice tai chi. -I like the tassel for tightening it but the elastic on the waist is honestly good on its own. If you have a bigger waist then I would be mindful of that. Hope this helps!

I am 5' 11", 170 lbs, and after reading a number of the customer reviews for these, ordered the large size. I normally wear a medium in the waist, a 32" waist in pants may be a bit snug, but 33" fits perfectly. So, right out of the bag, the large navy pants look great, though the material is not a tight weave, but not a big deal. The large is a bit short, and I have a 32" inseam. Also, the leg hems are rather small, not wide legged or roomy at the ankle, but the fabric does yield and doesn't bind when stretching and kicking, so again, not too bad. I'll keep them, though I wouldn't mind the manufacturer making the ankle hem wider.

Zoo Boo quality martial arts uniforms. They are about the only company I buy Kung fu informs from. Their sizes are pretty true to accurate. Most others are just too small. Highly reccomend.

I don't write many reviews. I spent hours looking for Judo Gi pants. I find them comfortable and great to wear at night and as pajamas. I bought three pairs. I am 5'9" / 185 lbs. Athletic build. I bought a large. They fit great. They have an elastic waist and drawstring. All well crafted. They feel great and I am pleased with the purchase. Update: These pants shrink a lot. I washed in cold and tumble dried extra low/delicate. The length shrunk a good four-five inches. I rewashed and then hand stretched/pulled back into close to original length. Then hung to dry. Kind of a hassle, but I still like the material and fit.

Use for training. A little bit short is better than a little bit long. Cuffs at one's heels are a distraction.

True to fit. I got this pants along with the jacket. The whole outfit is incredible.

My fave pants for training or just every day wear at this point. It’s a great material. Can snag a bit but I carry keys and a knife everywhere and I work around a lot of pointy metal. The medium was tight in the crotch when doing high kicks. The large and medium aren’t that different in length but there is enough material in the crotch for high kicks with the large. They also shrink a wee bit. They break in nicely. They’re good for all weather and are durable. I guess that’s the magic of linen.

Purchased for my 50 year son. He is very happy with the gift.

I will never buy again

I love these. The fabric is drapey, but has good body to it. I've got some I bought 10 years ago, and they are still in good shape. Make sure to measure yourself and choose your size accordingly, and go up one more if you want a very loose fit. If in doubt, ask the seller.
