I’m not sure how we accomplished any diy without this level!! It’s a game changer for sure. No more guessing & no more accidental leveling mistakes. Just clean crisp paint lines and the most level picture hanging! Super easy to use. Just put 2- AA batteries in..set it and forget it🤣literally. Versatility for all your project needs and makes hanging anything too easy. It’s great quality, has some substantial weight to it, & very well made. Brightness of laser is perfect and goes almost all the way across an entire room. There is a version with tripod stand or also there’s a way to just hang the level on a wall but we usually just set it on something and still works great! If you like to do diy projects just get it I promise you won’t be dissatisfied.

The green laser is plenty bright for typical indoor use. The self-leveling works great, but, as with other similar devices, you do have to have it close to level (within 4 degrees of level) for it to work. It will let you know if tolerances have been exceeded for the self-leveling to work. I also love that it has a manual mode so that it can be used for establishing straight lines other than level. I think it's a positive that it works on disposable batteries that are easy to replace because, when they run low, they can be immediately replaced rather than waiting for charge time. One thing I do with all of my devices that run on disposable batteries is to remove them whenever it's going to be a few days or more between use to avoid the potential of damage by a battery that happens to leak. I haven't had this device very long, but initial impression is that it is solidly built and good quality. This level is a great value for the price compared to other brands.

Excellent laser.... decently bright... only complaint is that it will show you exactly how off level your house is!
