This one is excellent for skewer. I did try to use as regular grill with the mesh comes with it to cook pork chop, wings etc... but it turns out hard to control the heat due to the fix charcoal tray is very close to the mesh event is the lowest level, and hard to control the air flow because it doesn't have control. However, is best for skewer, because skewer is a lot faster to cook. I think lamb chop, hotdog and veggies are ok too. just not the big and thick meat items that needs longer time to cook.This grill does have 2 level for the charcoal tray, to adjust to lower level it must disassemble and reassemble the tray. thats about 1 inch lower. And the tray is pre-install in high position out of the box.The Grill itself is very solid and heavy.
