I got this as a gift for my partner. He absolutely loves it. It's as good as quality as Lego. Builds just like Lego, looks great, easy to build. You get a pretty big build for good value. Hours of entertainment. I would definitely buy this again without hesitation.

One of the funnest builds I’ve done in a long time! I loved it, though it was trickier to decipher the instructions compared to more reputable brands. The glowing eye pice doesn’t work great, but the detail and size is just what I wanted. Very happy with my purchase!

Very easy assembly. Much larger pieces than most mini-builds I’ve done. It’s cheap for a reason - some lacking quality control. But if you’re looking for something small to sit on a desk instead of take over your whole living room, this is the set for you. In my set there was 1 piece missing and 1 piece broken. I was able to make do by putting them in lesser visible spots, but a little frustrating to get halfway through and see it won’t be perfect. I’ve seen other reviews say it came with everything, so just a little inconsistent with what you might get. Again I made it work and it’s only really noticeable if you know what you’re looking for. The lit eye is a VERY cool feature. It took some finagling to get it to turn on. There’s no button so I had to just keep pressing on the piece until it lit up. Because there’s no button, it’s on 24/7 until those batteries die, so eventually will become obsolete. You can get into it and change the batteries, but that’s not as good as just having a switch. The build took me only a few hours, and was straightforward. Only minor thing was when putting the central piece of the tower in, I realized I had to line up the circular pieces in a certain order so it’s parallel to the other lower spikes. This isn’t clear in the directions, but was easy enough to go back in and switch. Other than some minor issues, this was a great build. Cheap, quick, easy, and small enough to go wherever you want it. Would buy again.

Fun build. Looks good as a display. Top tower can be removed. I used it for a Christmas tree topper and easy to reinstall.

If you understand what you're getting, this is not a bad set. You're not paying the Lego price, so you're not going to get Lego quality. The bricks are sometimes difficult to snap together, and the instructions are not nearly as clear as Lego instructions. They often don't make sense, and in many cases the order that you put things together is not logical, creating issues. There were a number of times during the build where I had to tear my recent work apart and redo it because there was something unclear about placement or because it just made more sense to do things in a different order. The set is almost 1,000 pieces, and it is only separated into three stages, so there are a LOT of pieces in each stage and since most all of them are black and many are very small, you can expect to do a lot of hunting and sorting for the right piece. I was missing one piece close to the end of the build, but luckily it was a minor cover piece that I was able to place to the back so you can't really tell the difference. The light-up brick under the eye worked for about two seconds when I first clicked it on, then stopped. There doesn't seem to be any way to turn it on or off, so I guess it's just DOA. The marble that is the eye also just kind of rolls around on the stick on top and is not secured. There were a few pieces where I had to break out the Kraggle to get them to stay together. All in all, it was a fairly easy build, though sometimes frustrating. The finished project looks good at a small fraction of the price of the Lego version and taking up a much smaller footprint to display. I'd recommend it as long as you understand what you're getting.

We bought this for a birthday gift for a friend’s 7 year old. It was a big hit and he loved it! It was a decent price and saved me a trip to the store.
