Miller Maple sap Hydrometer

This isn’t for sap. This is only for syrup. Inaccurate product description.

Bought this for my husband's new hobby making maple syrup. He was using just temperature last year, but this year, with the hydrometer, his batches came out more consistently with color and thickness of the syrup. He was happy with the purchase.

This is NOT a sap hydrometer as stated in the product description. It is a syrup hydrometer for finishing syrup. Many other reviewers have made the same observation. I wish I had read their description rather than the seller. The seller obviously needs to change the description as this is misinforming many purchasers looking for an actual sap hydrometer.

Perfect. I use for my syrup. When just using temperature difference (7.5 above normal boil) I couldn’t get syrup thick enough. Now, it’s perfect.

This item arrived broken. Returned for credit and then reordered. Will update when I receive new item.

It was longer then my other oneWorked better because it stuck up out of myCup thinggy

The tip broke the first day of use...This was not mishandled by the owner, it just seemed to be flawed.
