It was purchased to create and keep jobs in rural Nebraska and to bring easy-to-use products to the marketplace. Headwind was based in Tecumseh, Nebraska, but in July of 2011, it moved 20 miles north of Tecumseh to Syracuse, Nebraska.This larger facility accommodates our growth and commitment to new and innovative products that people love to use. Our EZRead lines of rain gauges are world famous and competitively the best products in the rain gauge market. Most of our rain gauges are made locally in Syracuse, NE. When Headwind acquired this division it had 11 different items in its offering. Today, we have over 100 items in our product selection.We expanded from the majority of our business in rain gauges, to adding decorative solar lighting and thermometers as well. How does it register more than 4"? in FL we have a lot of rain. 4" in not enough. i need 10!

I live in FL too. We don't get more than 4" of rain at one time. Just empty the rain gauge.

how and where do you mount this wind/weather gauge?

Two holes in the bottom of the metal spine accept the two included screws to mount on a fence pole away from buildings.

The thermometer shattered, any way to get a replacement?

I’ve never had a problem with ours and we get a lot of wind here.
