These shackles feel sturdy and well-made. The material gives the impression of good quality, and they hold up well in use. Overall, reliable and worth buying.

All of the "expert" reviewers pointed out these were likely not austenitic high grade alloy, and they are correct. They forgot to mention that they are less than 10 cents on the dollar of what marine grade costs. I bought 10, and after reviewing them will buy another 20. I am using them for an EDC bugout bag, and these are phenomenal for the price. For less than $1 a piece these allow you to organize and safely store anything you can thread paracord through. Simply put, they are one of the better values on Amazon, and a case where you get more than what you should have expected.

It's a solid connection that isn't going to crack like a plastic snap would. That being said, the threaded connection is a little hard if you're looking for a tighter fit (full disclosure: I used this to make a paracord watch band). The finish does tarnish rather quickly, so keep that in mind if you have allergic reactions to copper or anything of that nature. That being said, it's a good, solid connection, and a good bang for your buck.

Super sturdy! Loved the chrome! Definitely will buy more. I haven't found any that are better looking and so solid, I mean, great construction and use of materials! Super strong!

These appear to be a solid steel buckle, but I do not believe they are. They feel very light, look like they are chrome painted, because some have imperfections on them, some don't thread well either. Some quality control issues going on here. I mean for the price, I guess it's ok, but if you make and sell Paracord Bracelets, I would not recommend these. I would not feel comfortable selling these to people. Just my experience so far.

Liked stainless steel and adjustability for weather or water use. Pin to put together the pair can be harder to screw in if one handed keeping the pair together. if pin was larger though it may be less comfortable to use.
