Received 2028 stock - a useful addition to our household medicines box.
The ones I received are dated 2028, so any left over this summer will be good for next Spring / Summer, too. Are these fancy ones better than the generic loratadine & cetirizine available in supermarkets for about ยฃ1 a pack? Maybe. The "official" NHS advice is that no type is clearly medically superior to one of the others. However, some folks seem to get on MUCH better with one type of anti-histamine compared to another. Personally, I find these Allevia to be a "BIT" better than generic loratadine or cetirizine. I also know folks (especially those not born and raised in the UK, so perhaps less "conditioned from childhood for UK grass & tree types") that say the generic loratadine and cetirizine have very little effect for them and they say Fexofanadine (eg Allevia) works MUCH better for them. IMO, Piriton is good stuff too (available in chemists', but you gotta ask the pharmacist - it is not on "general display". I variously use loratadine, cetirizine, and Fexofanadine (eg Allevia) and I suspect my rotation of them helps minimise any side effects I get (basically, I do not get any obvious side effects, except that my eyes itch/run less or not at all, my nose runs less, or not at all, and I get less general itchiness after being outside in the Summer. I suspect that there is a decent "genetic" effect on how effective certain allergy tablets are on us as individuals, backed up by variation in childhood exposure - I sat my "O"-levels in the early 80's, practically crying with hay fever, so I am so glad this modern stuff exists. Older allergy tablets DO exist, but they tend to be "ask the pharmacist" ("not general sale"), and they have noted sedating effects so no so good for driving, operating machinery etc etc. So, I would recommend giving something like Allevia a go if you find you current allergy tablets are not very effective, or you seem to get the common side effects (listed on the leaflets that come with all allergy tablets) from what you have and you want to find an allergy tablet that "works" for you while minimising side effects. All in all, Allevia is a useful extra tool in our household medicines box, and the boxes I ordered were long dated (2028, and it is only June 2026 now). Why get 5 boxes? We share them with our daughter, and the ones we received will cover more than one Spring/Summer!

A good antihistamine
I used these antihistamines daily, and for the most part they work really well for me. I do occasionally need to take an extra one later in the day (agreed by my doctor). They are easy to swallow and Iโve never had any side effects with this.

Best on the market
These are really effective for my hayfever. Other medications no longer work for me, so I'm really pleased they came onto the market. They are expensive, so this multi-pack was very good value.

Great Value
We both suffer from hay fever, and we both take them every day. We have always bought them from Amazon, and looking at the prices over the counter they are extortionately priced. I am amazed people buy them like this. So we find these little bundles extremely competitively priced.
