These are very nice pillows. They do fluff up......follow the directions!!!!! Now Have you ever fluffed your pillows when making the bed or changing your sheets??...... Now the length is a little bit shorter than the standard pillow, but it also fits my pillow case just fine. It also states wait 24 hours after you fluffed them up, but I'm going to use it tonight, I highly recommend these pillows, and on another note: the ones you buy at the store, the ones on sale, I used to buy those pillows all the time the ones for $5.99 on sale And if you want to talk about flat they are flat (cheap ones at the stores). So with these pillows they ship them with no air, so yes, you have to fluff them, pat them, just like the directions say and you should not have a problem They are very fluffy and they feel so soft and really comfortable. Oh, my gosh...the quality is excellent! I had bought these in July for some houseguests in August. A week after they left, we had a massive storm. Long story short, the wind blew off the the roof shingles in the area over the bed. This allowed rain to come in, collect, and burst through the ceiling, causing the drywall to collapse all over the bed. There were dark stains on the bedding and on the pillows. Not having much hope, I threw the pillows into the washer with cold water and some original powdered Tide. The stains were gone! The pillows were then left to air-dry. The stain not only disappeared completely, but the pillows held their shape and looked good as new! This will be my "go-to" pillow product from now on!!! (BTW, the stains in the surrounding sheets and new comforter had also disappeared completely. Yes, I'll also continue to use powdered Tide, as well!)
