No,I would say it is not. You would have to use Prime to condition your water. You can always e-mail Seachem and ask. I use lots of their products. One of the best companies out there. They have answered everyone of my e-mails.

Is this OK to use with freshwater snails?

I chuckled when I saw your question; I use this product every time I do a water change, and since last winter I have been battling snails that came in unbeknownst to me on some plants (75 gal freshwater tank, lightly planted with low light tolerant plants). And they are prolific!! Based on my experience, I would say it it doesn't harm snails HOWEVER, not being an aqua-malacologist, I don't know if different species of snails react differently to meds. You could always send a question to Seachem to confirm. I do work with plants a lot, so a tip; if you know what kind of snails you have, include that information with your inquiry.
