Great camera. The view is clear, you can even see the beautiful colors of the fish. It was great to watch the fish come in and suck in the bait, quick set of the hook and a fish. The battery life is great, was out all day and still had plenty of battery life left. The whole unit is very lightweight and easy to use. I had an old fish camera that was heavy, and took up a lot of space. I also bought one for my brother. He is very happy with his, I am thinking of getting one for my son. I would recommend Anyone looking for a small lightweight camera that is also a good price to buy this one.

After a lot of research, I decided to go with the FishPRO 1080p 7" with DVR over some of the competitors. There are others available for about $120 less, but the upgrades on this one (hi-def picture, DVR capabilities, much longer battery life, USB charging, tripod mount, compact design, ease of use) are WELL worth the extra expense and more than you get on other higher priced cameras. I set this up on a cheap photographer's tripod, and it's rock solid, works flawlessly with a great picture and makes fishing more fun. Lot's of options out there, but this is the best bang for the buck. Update: After an hour of use on the ice, the screen froze and the unit failed to respond to ANY buttons on the control panel (wouldn't even shut off until the battery ran out). I was able to return it to Amazon within the 30-day return window, and another is on the way - no hassles. Happy to assume I just got a lemon, so I'll keep the five-star rating unless the new unit proves me wrong. Unfortunately, the ice is melting and I might not find out until next year!

Screen resolution is amazing! Its also very compact which is nice, durability is yet to be seen but its made it though a few ice fishing trips. It is a bit difficult to get the camera to stay in position since its so small and light and the cable is very thin so it wants to spin very easily. I might experiment with even more weight on the camera for the next outing. Great value for the money.

Great camera with great resolution and battery life, also love the record and photo feature with the sd card

First of all this product is excellent! The price is very reasonable for the great picture you get and camera lighting (IR, white light). I believe the picture is much better than the aqua view micro and again cheaper in price. The colors look vibrant and the brightness is very easy to adjust on the fly. Nice foldable cover to use on sunny days. Comes in a nice storage pack to keep it in when not in use. Now for the customer service. I had been using the camera for a couple weeks ice fishing when I had an unfortunate mishap where the screen display part fell into an ice hole and was underwater for a few seconds. Unfortunately this incident damaged the unit to where it wouldn’t come on anymore. I got in touch with customer service via email and told them the situation knowing that it was totally my fault and was wondering if I could have it fixed, repaired or replaced. They responded very quickly and were sorry to hear the situation and were more than happy to help assist me in coming up with a solution. They sent a new unit promptly without charge. I would definitely buy this unit again.

If the seller hadn't delayed the shipment, it would have been 4 or even 5 stars. I ordered the item on April 3rd and only received it on May 28th! That's how "wonderfully" their monopoly position in the market works. There's no other seller of this same kit on Amazon. The camera and screen themselves are pretty decent in terms of quality, but the camera cable is quite thin and somewhat stiff. I can't believe it won't become brittle in freezing weather and break. A zippered storage case is included. Too bad the zipper is single-sided — they literally saved half a cent by not adding a second slider. Overall, the product itself is pretty good, but the seller is absolute garbage.

Clear picture but need to have shade box for it

Received my camera today. Taking first look at functionality in the house to get familiarized, disappointed that the Oower on/off button does not function well. Intermittent, sometimes works right away, sometimes hold for almost 39 seconds and it turns on, other times it just never turns on. Then when I can get it on it seems like it is going to start up and it immediately turns off by itself. Off is also as elusive of functioning like it should on a consistent basis. Went to return it and instead am doing an exchange in hopes I just got a faulty device. My hopes are not high. I will write another review when the replacement gets here.
