Very disappointing taste.

Pleasantly surprised it tastes like a weak bourbon without the burn. All these other reviews are misleading. Of course it won’t taste like the real thing. I don’t think people understand what it takes to make a substitute. So if your buying this thinking it’s tastes like bourbon you will need to move on.

I quit drinking 25 years ago. Lately I was wanting the flavor of a whiskey. So I thought I would try a non alcoholic version. I had no idea this was even an option. I found a few different options and most of them have the same reviews. Some people love it some hate it. And if averages out to 3 stars. So I took a chance. The smell is overpoweringly bad. The taste was not as bad but the smell over Powers the taste. I will see how it well it degreases and might not have to through it away.

It is very similar to real whiskey, but has a funny after taste and it didn't fool me.

We no longer drink alcohol, but occasionally I really miss a glass of good bourbon over rocks. TBH I was a little skeptical on how this would measure up... and I was very pleasantly surprised. First of all - the bottle looks amazing and feels quite heavy and substantial. Premium for sure (I do product photography, so I snapped a good looking image of the bottle in my studio...) Initial flavor on the first sip is terrific, and the finish is delicious as well, without the burn that you would expect from the alcohol, obviously.. The lingering echo of flavor has hint of wood as well. The color is a little bit lighter than I would have expected. In every way this was a solid purchase.

I've tried a bunch of fake bourbon/whiskeys and tbh none of them really taste like the real thing. A lot of them smell like the real thing, including this one. There isn't a single one of these bourbon replacements that I would recommend drinking by themselves on the rocks. The key is to see how they work in a mixed drink as a replacement for your whiskey or bourbon. Where this one except where most don't, is that it has a bit of a bite. Not the same level of bite as real alcohol of course, but at least something is there. To me this one had a bit of a honey/caramel taste. I don't really like either of those things lol. But where this bourbon replacement excels is when you use it mixed with real bourbon. I tried making an old fashioned with half an ounce of this mixed one full once if my regular whiskey. It carried the flavor of the whiskey well and I drank a little less alcohol. So yeah, I'd recommend mixing this with real liquor, either half and half or 75% real and 25% sobourbon.

If you want sipping whiskey, move along. This has far too much oak and smoke. However, if you add 1 shot of jack to the bottle the flavor rounds out. It also goes well with coke and an old fashioned by itself. It does not have any resemblance to whiskey by itself but the flavor isn't terrible.

I wanted so badly to like this non-alcoholic bourbon for dry January. But unwrapping it gave me my first indication that this was not going to go well. There were things floating in the liquid! My husband tasted it first and said, “Never again”. He was right. Cloyingly sweet with absolutely no suggestion of anything bourbon about it, not even the smell. Buy an umbrella instead if you want a dry January!

I bought this hoping to find a decent non-alcoholic whiskey alternative for my hubby. He took one sip, made a face I’ve never seen before in our entire relationship, and immediately spit it out. He said it tasted like someone tried to describe whiskey to a robot and this was the result. Absolutely undrinkable. Smells weird, tastes worse, and now we both need therapy. Hard pass.

A fabulous non alcohol alternative. Smoky and has a bourbon bite. My husband LOVES his old fashions with this.

If you have no idea what bourbon tastes like, it still would not taste good. Even the smell of it was not good. Buy the real stuff.

Absolutely love it would buy again right away if it wasnt 50 taxes . So since its cost so much it get a 4 instead of 5 other than that i would give it a 5
