Nice looking piece.
The design is nice and the wood is very pretty. The rubber bands that come with it are a little too long to shoot very far so I bought shorter ones for a little more power.

Only works w/ Elastic Precision’s “proprietary” rubber bands.
I cannot remember the last time that I left an Amazon review, but I was so disappointed with this product, I felt I had to.. Several other reviewers complained about how weak the shots are, and they certainly leave something to be desired there, but no one has said anything about the fact that you CANNOT use just any rubber bands you find around the house or office with this thing as it will jam up and stop firing. I contacted the company directly about this, and was told that, indeed, the guns are specifically designed to work only with Elastic Precision’s “proprietary rubber bands” which can only be ordered through them or other online retailers…which means if I run out I can’t just go to the store and buy more, I have to wait a week for shipping.Apparently, these special rubber bands are specially made to be “square in profile” which as best I can tell allows them to roll from one notch to the next each time the trigger is pulled. Bands that don’t have that specific shape will get caught on the notches or will simply stretch without advancing to the next notch and up into firing position. If you were intending to use this around your office or around your house with a handful of those rubber bands sitting in your desk, then keep looking because this isn’t what you are looking for. This means that the products which, to use EP’s own words, “are built to last for generations” will in fact only last as long as EP’s commercial viability does. I see this as yet another unfortunate example of a great product that could easily last a lifetime falling victim to the current “subscription culture” trend—if you don’t keep paying us forever, then you can’t use the product you purchased from us. And this tact on something as simple as a wooden toy. Ridiculous. Very disappointing.
