Dig, Dig, Digger! (Gareth Lucas Noisy Books)

My two year old loves it. I got it because she also loves Dinos On Deck, by he same person. Both highly recommended.

Bought this because my son loves Lucas’ Dinos on Deck. I’m not as impressed with this one. The story isn’t as much of a story as the Dino ones. Each page is an animal using a construction vehicle. They don’t flow together. The middle pages could appear in any order without messing with the story. Also, most of the noises are just a little bit too long in this one. My son likes it ok, but I’d much rather read and listen to Dinos on Deck. The one thing I like about this book is the silly animals in the background of the pages. Maybe we will enjoy this one more when he’s old enough to point and talk about the images.

It can get pretty noisy at a construction site. It can also be a very busy place. This sturdy board book is filled with hard working animals building an adventure playground. Dolphin drives the digger and Hippo uses the big hammer. Camel handles the crane and it’s not long before the park is finished and they are all ready to play.Parents and caregivers won’t mind the noisy buttons included in this colorfully illustrated book. Each page has a rumble, beep or bang button just for kids to press and listen. Toddlers can learn about all of the cute animals found throughout the pages. Short simple sentences make word recognition and learning to read a breeze.

My son, who I can never get to sit down long enough to read through a book with me, loves this book! He asks me to read it to him over and over again. The sounds are great. Very realistic. The illustration is great also. So much to look at that every time we read it we find new funny things to mention. I’m going to purchase Dino’s on deck now because he loves dinosaurs.

The buttons are hard to press for a toddler, he gets frustrated with the buttons becaus he thinks it doesn’t work.
