I have also been a legal transcriptionist for many (a hundred?) years. Needless to say, my hearing is pretty well shot. Mostly, I have been trying to find a pair of earbuds that didn't distort the sound on my audible books -- I have all kinds of hearing apparatus for my computer with equalizers, etc. -- but since the ear buds that came with my phone died, (which is how I listen to my books) I haven't been able to find a pair of ear buds that I could stand. Mostly, the sound was muddled, as if it was coming through cotton, or the base was too strong, blotting out the trebles entirely, or -- let me just say they didn't work. At all. After 4-5 different ear buds with promises of clarity (ha ha), and determined to find the ear buds that actually lived up to such a promise, I ordered these. Well -- let me tell ya' -- they work~! They are like that elusive good man that every woman has tried to find. They do what they say they will do! (No offense to men, I'm just taking a writer's license here -- I have no where else to take such license). Anyways. These ear buds work. They sound is clear. The volume is adjustable. AND they fit -- even with my hearing aids in. They are comfortable physically and audibly. Suffice to say, I am writing this review because I just came on here to buy another back up pair. Ha ha, just like that elusive good man --- I believe in back ups! Okay. Not to wander too far off the subject. These ear buds were packaged well. And I mean by that, they weren't in some kind of plastic bubble that you can't open for the life of you -- they were in a little box. Imagine that! A box. And they have extra little covers for the buds themselves in case you wear out the pair that come on them. In case you didn't notice. I'm thrilled with this product.
