I love this winch, because it does not require it to be attached to an ATV. Portable, battery operated. It is sturdy, and heavy, but I can carry it and I am a small older female. I have two batteries, because you don't want to be in mid winch and have the battery die. The batteries must be charged while installed in the winch, so you cannot charge one while the winch is working. Charge beforehand. Most important! Do not let any slack happen when the cable is being drawn in. Always maintain a steady tension, and try to keep the cable winding back and forth in an orderly manner, or it can get a wrapped loop in it, and the machine will refuse to let it come out or in. We moved a large rock with this, and I used it it to pull my lawn tractor out of a ditch. Buy a snatch block tackle, it will increase the pulling power to twice the original. Learn how to use the winch, watch youtube videos. Protect the trees that you use as a base with a tree saver strap.

I bought a Rhino Pull 1000 to lower my boat to the water from the bulkhead. After 14 months had a problem. Whit the help of Katie and Walter found the issue. Was a motor of the system that was not working in. They sent me a new motor that I installed in the winch, and everything is working back, properly. Thank you, Walter, Luigi R.

Overall I like the product, but the built in charger isn't convenient for a lot of use. I thought it would be a good thing at first, but the problem is that you can't have one battery charging while the other is in use. The other issue is that if you're using it, for example, in the woods and run out of power you need to disconnect the entire unit to bring it back to base to charge batteries, this may not always be possible depending on what you're using it for. I have had a little trouble with heavier loads, it simply struggles to start, but once it starts to move it works great. The remote is definitely a plus.

I bought this in order to help me do construction in a remote site. We did not have access to power and bringing in heavy equipment would be impractical (and expensive). Using a battery powered winch made the job much safer and easier for a relatively inexpensive price. A winch will not always be helpful and you should think carefully about if this device will help your project. However, if it would help, the convenience and effectiveness is unmatched. I did not push this device to its limits at all, but it was essential for my project and extremely effective for what I did use. Highly recommended.

Powerful winch but the battery life is short even when fully charged. Works really well during its charged capacity

I have the worn winch that is electric and battery and this thing is probably 300 to 400 times better . Same polling power, but the battery does not die in one year. It lasts a long time being it is a Lipo battery and not a NiCad battery that doesn’t even last one year
