I originally purchased this device as my home broadband had failed and I needed to stay online to work from home. It's a fabulous product, finding networks easily and the connection is stable. Even better is that you receive 1GB of data free per month, so if you are just needing something to keep you online and not downloading large files then you will not need to pay anything. I travel all over the world for business, and this has kept me online at pretty much every location. The app is simple to use and the various data packages are reasonable for what they are. I would recommend this for people who travel. I am now waiting for the 5G Solis Edge to find it's way to Amazon!

Used in France, Germany, Belgium, Netherlands, Denmark, Sweden and Norway on a 3 week trip. Bought the unlimited European monthly usage plan for an extra £77 which gives you 100gb at high speed and then unlimited at a slower rate, didn't use all the fast data so was plenty for me. It did drop out a few times and needed signing back into but not a real problem and was a godsend to my meagre 2-3 Gb monthly mobile data plan.

Didn't work at all don't waste your money

I bought this after "borrowing" a connection from a colleague whilst travelling in China. Just made a trip to Saudi Arabia, using my new device, and it was great. Easy set up, seamless connection, small and easy to carry in my travel bag. I could not connect to my customers in-house Wi-Fi, so I simply connected to my own Wi-Fi..! For anyone travelling on business outside of Europe, where roaming is probably already covered by your existing mobile phone contract, this piece of kit is brilliant. It will probably pay for itself after 2 or three trips. Highly recommended.

took this little fella to japan and it basically made the whole trip possible. Wi fi everywhere which saved us buying a local sim or paying through the nose for data in a country our provider didn't cover. It's small, fits in your bag easily, lasts the whole day - easy to connect multiple phones. And now I use it int he UK on trains etc where wi fi is terrible - very happy with this.

This is an excellent product. Easily carried in a pocket.

I recently purchased Solis Lite and initially, I was impressed by its features and capabilities. However, my experience was hindered by connectivity issues due to limited coverage in my area. Although the device appeared promising, it could only connect to the O2 network, which unfortunately doesn't offer strong coverage in my location. As a result, I found myself resorting to tethering to my phone to maintain a stable connection. This workaround proved to be inconvenient and defeated the purpose of investing in the product. I have yet to test the device in an area with better O2 coverage, so I cannot speak to its performance under optimal conditions. However, in my current situation, it failed to meet my expectations and left me relying on costly mobile data, especially after purchasing day passes. Additionally, my attempts to seek assistance from tech support were thwarted by the inability to maintain a stable connection long enough to troubleshoot the issue effectively. This further exacerbated my frustration and disappointment with the product. In conclusion, while Solis Lite may be suitable for individuals in areas with robust O2 coverage, it fell short for me due to its inability to connect reliably in my location. I hope to see improvements in future iterations to address these connectivity challenges and provide a more seamless user experience. A friend recommended the Solis Hotspot to me, he said it was great for travelling overseas. Wow was he right! You arrive somewhere (Singapore, Korea, Hong Kong, Japan, Vietnam, Canada, Mexico, Honduras, Belize, Bahamas, so far) turn it on and within a minute it has connected to a local cell service and the internet is available through the hotspot. I bought the 4G rather than the 5G but even so I've had 2 phones, a laptop and an iPad connected at the same time and the performance was still good. This is for the second Solis I bought. I liked the first so much I bought a second. I have the renewal dates 12 days apart, so I can get 2GB spread pretty evenly through the month.

Enrutador fácil de configurar y usar. Hice pruebas en varios lugares de Lisboa (Portugal) siempre con excelente cobertura y buenas velocidades. Actualmente utilizo el equipo para acceso remoto a un medidor eléctrico privado y a un cargador de vehículo eléctrico (aplicación IoT). Esta solución muy sencilla permite conocer el consumo y estado del cargador de EV en tiempo real. Para la aplicación mencionada anteriormente no necesito de un plan de datos específico, ya que la oferta de 1G mensual incluida durante la vida útil del equipo es perfectamente suficiente.

Ich habe den Solis Lite, Mobile Hotspot, gekauft, um weltweit ins Internet zu kommen. Jetzt war ich 3 Wochen auf Kreuzfahrt und habe folgende Länder besucht: Vereinigre Arabische Emirate, Oman, Indien, Sri Lanka, Malaysia und Singapur. In allen Ländern hatte ich mit Solis Lite problemlos Internet und hatte keinerlei Probleme. Wer viele Länder bereist und nicht überall umständlich per eSim ins Internet will, ist mit Solis Lite auf der richtigen Seite. Zudem gleichzeitig 10 Geräte gleichzeitig über den Solis ins Internet können. Einfach ideal für Leute, die problemlos und leicht jederzeit ins Internet wollen.

Contrairement à ce qu'indique un commentaire précédent en anglais, cet appareil acheté sur Amazon.fr et vendu par “EZY commerce” (e-Comas SARL) inclut bien le plan “à vie” de 1 Go de données par mois, qui s'active automatiquement dès la mis en service. C'était mon inquiétude à la lecture du commentaire précédent, qui est donc inexact ou correspond à un vendeur différent. La mise en oeuvre de ce petit routeur est très simple, son usage facile. La portée de la connexion Wi-Fi ne semble pas extraordinaire, mais elle est correcte. je ne sais pas si la connexion offerte par cet appareil est meilleure que la connexion partagée par mon téléphone, mais cet appareil présente l'avantage de pouvoir se connecter à tous les opérateurs, en France ou à l'étranger, même dans une zone non ou mal couverte par votre opérateur habituel, et sans surprises de facturations excessives de “Roaming” à l'étranger (avec un opérateur mobile “pas cher”, j'ai pris 50 € de facture de données au Canada simplement en 30 minutes entre l'aéroport et l'hôtel, sans avoir utilisé le téléphone ! Ça calme...) Ce petit appareil est donc destiné à éviter ce genre de mauvaise surprise et à partager en famille une connexion à un prix maîtrisé, en France ou à l'étranger. Les “plans” de données proposés par le fournisseur ne sont pas exceptionnellement bon marché (largement plus cher que les données de mon abonnement Free Par exemple) mais l'avantage est de pouvoir ne les acheter et utiliser que dans la mesure de son besoin. Le Go gratuit par mois “à vie” (que je comprends plutôt comme 256 Mo par semaine, non reportables) ne permettra pas d'aller bien loin, mais d'au moins toujours disposer d'une connexion de dépannage pour accéder à ses mails ou... le temps d'acheter un plan de données plus généreux, en voyage... Bref a priori l'appareil est conforme à ses promesses, reste à voir ce que ça donnera en usage réel en terme de débit, de couverture et de coût de données.
