After a hip replacement this was exactly what I needed. Works great. I use Water Wipes ( sold on Amazon) just my preference to TP and they fit well. The spring broke on h th e first one. Company was swift in replacing it free of charge. I don’t know if it was defective but be careful when holding the spring handle end.

Recently had a spinal fusion, and during recovery, you can not turn, twist or stretch....which leaves you with the big question of “how will I wipe myself?”. I looked and looked and this apparatus seemed like the closest to best option. I weighed the good/bad reviews in and hoping against hope, bought this wand. It is absolutely useless. There is no way to actually attach the toilette paper to this, unless you wrap it round and around several layers which ends up in a disgusting mess. My physical therapist adviced me to rather go to the dollar store and buy a salad tong like the ones you use for picking up sweet bread or corn and use that. Not perfect, but a much better and cheaper choice.

I am not happy with my wipe assist. The wipes come out of the tool before I can wipe with it. The tp doesn't stay in either. I was going to return the one that was unopened. Am I not using wiper correctly? Not happy in Ohio.

You do what you gotta do! I am glad this is an option for better hygiene! I use it for both T-paper and WetWipes. For the T-paper, I bunch the end of the strip up just so it will latch, but then I wrap the paper around and around the wand, as opposed to just wadding the paper like a poof, as instructed with the product. BUT...what I am really grateful for is that I could order it from Amazon - STEALTH mode!!! I suggest buying at least 2: one for home and one to take with you (backpack, briefcase, gym bag, etc.

I was cautious about buying this, concerned about sanitation. However, if you wrap the paper or wipe around as instructed, it stays until you release it. I have inoperable back issues that limit bending and twisting, so this is a godsend. Give it a quick wash and an alcohol spritz (I keep some in spray bottles in kitchen and bath).

Instructions said to push the button in so it can grab the toilet paper, then you're suppose to wrap the rest around the wand before using. But that leaves the other end of the TP loose. I tried it anyway. Of course, the paper got wet and stuck to the wand. Instructions said to just push the button to release the toilet paper into the toilet. Ha! Wet paper sticks! I had to use a Kleenex to pull it off, but wet paper tears! Be dammed if I'm going to use my fingers to pull off wet pieces of TP, so I had to use more Kleenex! All that kinda defeats the purpose of using a wand! Maybe next time I'll just drip dry!

The applicator itself is nice and sturdy with the proper angle but toilet paper does not come off after use without help making it unpleasant to use.
