Lots of great information
Comprehensive book. Lots of great information - each species has at least 3 pages dedicated to it and there are pages comparing groups of similar orchids which really helps narrow things down. Unfortunately some of the pictures of the dark reddish purple orchids are not as defined as they could be (looks like the print process could not cope with the bright colours so they appear 'over blown' and there is a lack of contrast). Other than that I am very happy with my purchase. Good size, not too heavy so can easily be carried in the field.

I made a very good decision to buy this book! A reference book but a good read too.
I didn't know anything about our native orchids and now after reading this small but comprehensive book I feel as though I know a great deal and it has wet my appetite to learn more.

Can't be beaten
A great pocket guide, packed with information on every orchid species you are likely to see in Britain. Excellent value for money.
