Carbone, Pasta Sauce Roasted Garlic, 22.3 Ounce

Best tasting pasta sauce by far. It is expensive so I always stock up when it’s on sale.

Carbone is making me into a fan. I really enjoy each of their sauces and this one is no exception. I am a little depressed that a jarred sauce can give my from scratch sauce a run for its money. I’m honestly not sure which is better and I use expensive imported Italian canned tomatoes. I make lasagna with this sauce in my smoker and it is a big hit. I use this sauce on the lower layers and the Carbone cream sauce on the upper layers. I top the lasagna off with wet mozzarella so I don’t need foil (let the smoke in). I tuned the temperature in my Yoder smoker to toast the outside just right against my cast iron baking dish (lodge 9/13 at 340 degrees for an hour). So good. The real pleasure is that it is easy and ready to go. I don’t even heat the sauce. Pour it right from the jar into the pan I’m composing my lasagna in. I have to make it gluten free for my family and none of the wheat-eaters complain. Everyone raves about it.

We didnt realize how much we like Rao's until trying this sauce. We were not impressed at all. We've eaten in their restaurant here in Vegas more than once and I dont remember the sauce being this flavorless... There was nothing about this sauce that would make me puchase again. I'll stick to my own homemade sauce.

Hard pass. I've tried Carbone sauses three times now and each time has been a disappointment. I don't understand why many of these YouTube food cooking chefs recommend this. Never again. I'd rather go without.
