Can this play stereo FM through the headphone jack?

i do not know. my radio was defective. I sent it back to the vendor for a refund.

When this radio is powered off, does the clock display stay on, or does everything turn completely off? I need to store this radio.

One tap of the on-off button, the screen goes black and the radio is off. I use them week to week and are stored in a briefcase and recharged as necessary. This radio is far superior to the AAA battery operated option.

Can it be kept on the charger for continuous monitoring of noaa alerts without worrying about battery rundown?

So, I ordered both versions of this radio - would not re-order the battery version. The rechargeable version is far superior and holds a charge for hours of operation at a time.
