The media could not be loaded.  I bought this for my grandson but to be honest I was half tempted to keep it myself. However, I've resigned myself to knowing I'll never become a drummer and I've enough hobbies as it is.The pad itself is made of a thick, very heavy rubber which I'd say was best set onto a hard surface. I found it more responsive than when it was sitting on the soft surface of my bed.At the head of the drum pad is the speaker module which also contains the various ports needed plus the controls. You can toggle between different drum sets using the kit button. The click button will start the metronome. There are a number of demo patterns you can use for practicing. The special button will allow you to customise the individual pads.you also get a pair of pedals which plug into the rear of the unit, these give you a high hat and a bass drum. The bass drum is also replicated on the pad to give you twin bass.Also included are a pair of wooden drum sticks, a micro USB power lead (wall charger not supplied) and a double ended 3.5mm audio cable.The response from the kit is very good and you get a nice 'bounce' from the pads when you hit them.You do occasionally find that you'll have a null hit when the strike won't sound but this seems to happen just very occasionally and shouldn't spoil your fun. You are not going to be using this on stage after all.It does do a great job of getting you used to keeping rythmn (not that I can do that with the short time I played around with it).There is plenty of volume for practising and also an earphone socket so you can practise in relative silence to those around you though of course if they are close they will still hear you tapping on the pads.All in all a great practising tool for those budding drummers like my grandson.

A great compact and fun electronic drum kit.The kit comes complete with a foldable drum mat which has built in speakers and control unit. The kit is powered simply through a micro USB lead (supplied), I would invest in a slightly longer lead perhaps so you have a little more freedom how from the power source you can use it.The sound is an accurate representation of a 9 piece drum kit, featuring 5 timbres, 3 rhythms and 8 demo sequences. The kit comes with a standard set of wooden drum sticks to drum with, the pads are sensitive to pick up each strike of the drum stick. The sound can be channeled through the built in speakers through a wired set of headphones (not supplied) via the built in 3.5mm headphone jack to avoid disturbing others. Also included are two foot pedalsOverall a great compact and fun drum kit, which is easy to set and easy to keep clean, hours of fun to be had.

Great starter set for those who want drums but don't have the space. Would definitely recommend

The media could not be loaded.  Got it for 16 years old. He always wanted to have drums at home. But it was just too big so I've got this these and he is very happy. Video is of my hubby trying them.Quality is great and sound is good. Love that you can plug headphones in. So he can play without distracting the little one. Also can add mp3. Recomend it!

Well it's been a lot of fun for home use, but now and then a pad just doesn't respond, especially the snare drum

This is within the budget range of electronic drum sets. It's okay, a bit laggy when hitting the pads. Overall, it's an okay toy for kids to play on.

My 9 year old grandson loves this. He is a total beginner but already has got a lot of enjoyment from playing. Is has prompted him to do research on the internet about drummers and drumming and his skills have really improved. We love the convenience of being to roll it up to put it away or to take it on visits to friends or family. A very good buy.
