He always seems to be cosy enough but we felt with him being older now a wee bit of heat uner his hairy butt would be a bonus the pad won't feel roasting well its not meant to cook the dog just maintaine body heat which it does very well you need to switch it on about an hour before hand and would defiantly recommend this product but sadly for our dog ( think its an age thing he's nearly 11 ) he won't lie on it for long it's very hard you can put a little blanket over the top of it but even then I think he found it uncomfortable but if you were to buy it for your dog from the word go I'm sure they'd be fine with it! It's only suitable for small dogs tbh ours is a Parsons Jack Russell and he's off both ends but his main body was on the pad! If it was a flexiable pad I think he'd never be off it lol ### ⭐⭐⭐ Not Great.
