Sturdy and waterproof
I don't write many reviews but love this carrier. Have had many over 40 years and this thing was solid. Holds a ton, stays secure, quiet and never moved! Hands down the best we have had and a decent price.

Works wonderfully!
This thing is amazing! 28 cubic feet is huge, like having another trunk. It’s super easy to get on and off my minivan and folds into a small bag when not in use. It didn’t add to the road noise at all, being so quiet I wondered if it was still there at times. And above all, it is COMPLETELY WATERPROOF. I drove hours through torrential rain and everything inside was bone dry. I would recommend this over and over again.

Skeptical but Very Satisfied!!
I was skeptical about this type of product but have been very happy with it. The cost per cubic foot of storage capacity when compared to a hard shell roof carrier is almost a no-brainer. So much more room compared to 13 cft for 5X the cost. Do the hard shell carriers look better? Yes. But if your goal is to free up as much space in your car as possible during vacations then this is perfect. No water infiltration if you put it on correctly and close it up, though I still put all luggage in large trash bags to be safe. I also liked the idea of being able to remove the bag easily once we reached our destination. Material seems heavy duty and water secure. Installing on the roof was easy, though it's helpful to have someone tall helping you if you have an extra hand. Pro tip: pre-pack the bag to make sure you know exactly how things are going to fit, then unpack it to put it on the roof. It makes packing it on the roof that much faster. Also, make sure you clip and snug down all the straps even if you're only using side straps with roof fails otherwise you'll get some noise flapping.

Absolutely worth every penny!
This is a solid piece of kit. Performs beyond my expectations. Very solidly built, thick canvas. Strong straps that work perfectly with the luggage rack on our 2011 Tahoe. Zipper is sturdy and protected under overhanging flap that secures on three sides via velcro tab. Top flap seals on three sides with fourth integrated with main body of bag. We were able to easily fit 2 large suitcases, 2 carryon sized cases, 2 small/medium duffle bags, 2 suit bags folded in half and still had a bit of room leftover. Straps emanate from all four sides of the bag and are equipped with 3 prong locking clasps. Straps can be tightened by pulling thru clasps and once done hold the bag and contents very securely to roof of vehicle. If u dont have a luggage rack, the bag comes with clasps that fit and feed under rubber door seals. We traveled from central Illinois to Beaufort, SC, from plains thru foothills and into Smoky Mountains then down into Carolina lowlands and eventually to coast. Tho not deluged, it did rain intermittently throughout trip and all our items stayed dry and secure. We were able to bring a thin foldup step ladder with us, tucked in the very back of the truck at the hatch and this made removal and installation of the bag and contents much easier than had we not, given the height of the vehicle combined with additional height of loaded bag. This was especially helpful given that we broke the trip into 2 segments south and 2 northward and therefore needed to remove and reinstall the bag and contents at each stop. Anyway, I highly recommend this thing. Should something fail, I will report that. I do know that eventually, if used frequently, retreating with waterproofing would likely be necessary. But man, I'm super impressed so far.

Great car roof bag, cheap lock
We bought the 15/19 expandable roof bag. It fit 3 hardside suitcases (28", 24", and 20" carryon), the largest of which was expanded. We did need to expand the roof bag to 19 to accommodate the 28" suitcase while expanded. There was a little room left over for possibly a couple small items (toiletry bag size). We drive a 2017 Chrysler Pacifica minivan with roof rack cross bars. The Pacifica side bars are not raised, but we were successfully able to secure the bag using only the crossbars. We did purchase a roof non slip mat separately on Amazon and placed that on top of our car roof first to protect it, just as a precaution. We opted to use a couple of bungee to help secure the bag to the crossbars, just as a precaution, but they really didn't seem necessary and the bag felt secure without them. The bag itself was very heavy duty quality material with a wipe-clean interior. The zippers were good quality. It took us about one hour to assemble the protective mat, roof bag, and luggage onto the car rooftop, but bear in mind it was our first time using a roof bag. Someone more experienced might be able to knock it out quicker than we did. It was easy to figure out how to use it. The bag opened up nice and wide, making it easy to put our luggage inside it. The straps were strong and sturdy and secured well. The lock included was cheap quality and we plan to replace it with a different lock, but it served it's purpose for first time use to get us going. The lock felt like it could be easily removed if someone tugged hard enough. That being said, if someone really wanted to get into the roof bag, the lock wouldn't prevent someone from cutting open the bag. However, the bag itself is made with such strong material, we think it would be very hard for someone to cut through it. So, we think buying a sturdier lock will help prevent theft of property. It was windy when we were driving, and we had no issues with the wind factor. The bag made absolutely no noise and remained secure the entire 5-6 hour trip. It didn't affect our ability to drive at typical high speeds on Texas highways, but we drove about 5 miles under the posted speed limits just to be safe. We didn't drive in rain, but we think people who had issues with rain getting into the bag may have installed it backwards. There is one side without a zipper and that end should probably be located toward the front end of the car to prevent rain water potentially finding its way inside, which is how we installed ours. The carry case included is also very sturdy and made of the same material as the bag. I've included photos of the size dimensions for the carry bag. It fits very well inside the stow and go area of our Pacifica with plenty of room to spare for other items. The protective mat be bought separately also fit inside the carry bag with the roof bag. We are giving this item 4 stars instead of 5 only because of the poor quality lock.

The best Cargo Car Top Ever
I purchased this after it was recommended to me by ChatGPT and I do not regret it at all. I was moving to Florida and I felt like my car wouldn’t carry everything I needed to so I started looking for others options and this was it. I drove from Detroit to Orlando and this thing packed and it didn’t moved once through the whole trip. We checked in it every time we stopped and we really didn’t have to coz it was so secure. The size of it, the thickness as. The quality was everything. Them zippers was so strong even I couldn’t zip it by myself. The instructions was super easy for me and my former roommate to figure out and we installed it in the within minutes. I totally recommend this even if you are taking a short trip because this cargo top is amazing. The materials is great and just the right fit for my needs and will definitely use it again.

Trust me and buy it
28CuFt model holds a ton of stuff. I just took it on a camping trip on my caravan and I couldn't be happier. This cargo bag comes with 3 bags you can put inside, for this trip we used 2 of them. One we filled with dry goods (cereal, bread, snacks, also plates silverware etc) the other we stuffed it with 2 kids backpacks full of clothes, 1 full adult backpack, 3 sleeping bags, and 3 pillows. Then outside of those 2 large bags we added a suitcase, a king size comforter and sheet, a garbage bag full of clothes, 2 pillows, an adult backpack and a 50 gallon garbage bag full of clothes. WE. STILL. HAD. ROOM. Next time I'm going to not use my roof bar in the horizontal configuration because this thing is long enough that if I would've used my roof bars in a vertical configuration I could've gotten more stuff inside, and easier. (Basically my roof rack was smaller than the bag so the bag hung over it as you can see in the pictures.) From the zipper to the clips it definitely has a durable and waterproof feel to it. Very impressed with this Cargobag. I almost paid 3 times as much for a hardshell but I'm glad I didn't. On my way home I was driving next to someone that had a hard shell and I realized that I can definitely fit way more on my roof because the bag isn't a solid piece, it can form to your stuff instead of making sure your stuff fits inside the hard shell. I'm not one of those reviewers that get paid or whatever, just genuinely happy with my purchase and feel the need to share. If you're thinking about it just do it.

Worth the Money
I just used this bag for the first time and was able to fit 3 large suitcases 2 small suitcases, two small bags and a 3-step ladder. I spent the week in Massanutten, Virgina and had to drive through storms on the trip there and back and everything was kept dry. It freed up space in the back of my car for additional items. I highly recommend this bag.

Good quality & great value
It’s good product with great value and very useful and safe. It took me a while to figure out how to use the straps, so I recommend clearer instructions. If you are buying this please note that if you want it fit the case it came with, you have to fold it back the same way it was packaged. So take note of that when you first use it.

Great idea, just not for a glass roof!
The box was fine, a great idea and ready to install. We returned it because it can not go on top of of a panoramic glass roof.
