I had to reach out to tech support to ask about safety questions. It's a very stable unit. I very often have just the "fire" part lit up - there's a timer option in the remote. I set the brightness to low and leave it on during winter months. Very occasionally, I use the heater/blower in the unit which is also adjustable using the remote control.

Box was beat up from ups, thankfully nothing damaged. I got this thing put together in 2 hours while entertaining my 4 year old, lots of parts.. instructions get a little wonky at one point but not too bad. It comes in a 100+ lb awkward heavy box, will need dolly or 2nd person to help if you are not strong. First morning using it, kiddo is absolutely loving it while watching cartoons. Hope it lasts a long time. Just wish it came with matching stickers to cover some visible screw holes at certain angles
