So I've had it for a month now and I just love everything about it. It fries perfectly and I no longer have to go through an hour of clean up just to have fried chicken. Even the strainer works better than I expected, I usually stain the used oil through a paper towel just to be safe but it's not even noticable with this because it's perfectly clear and smells the same before and after, I might stop even doing that. Also every part of it cleans up well in the dishwasher, no need to do anything but chuck it in there really (other than wiping down the very bottom just a bit to get the gunk out). Also I got the 1.7 liter version and it's just the perfect size for cooking for 2 people. It's not too oversized like most of the others. I can afford to use coconut oil in this because of that and it taste just so great. No need for nasty rapeseed (canola) or soy (vegetable oil)! Even better is when the strainer does eventually clog up you can replace the entire box with it built in from their website for like 20 bucks. This whole thing is just great and I wish I had bought it years ago. Easily on my list of devices I wish I had bought sooner like my stand mixer, espresso maker, and now this.

Funciona muy bien, el sabor y lo crujiente que queda la comida al freirla es estupendo. La comida no queda grasosa y lo que me encanta es que se puede filtrar el aceite por lo que se puede utilizar por más tiempo y facilita el transporte por si se requiere llevar a una fiesta o reunión. El tamaño es bueno, pero ahora que la he estado utilizando y viendo lo práctica que es, me hubiera comprado el modelo más grande para poder freír más cosas en menos tiempo. Altamente recomendable.

I did a lot of research before buying, including perusing Amazon reviews and having GROK AI do a comparison. I settled on this model, for a few reasons. 1) There were no complaints about the magnetic plug coming out. It does have one as a safety feature, and it sits solidly in the unit with no issues. 2) It's not digital. Yes, I looked at the super-fancy Breville, but a review from a chef advised that all of its digital presets were not accurate. So we went for a simpler, cheaper setup. 3) It has a great cookbook that tells you what settings to use. So far we've tried okra, eggplant and chicken. 4) The oil filtration setup. We did our research and of course said "NO" to using seed oils (seriously, why even suggest that?!). We settled on refined coconut oil, which is solid at room temp. This is very healthy and we've had zero issues with smoking, even though we've had it at the highest temp. 5) Everything is dishwasher safe. So last night, after making eggplant and chicken for stir fry (yum!), we let the oil cool for several hours and hit the filter setting before heading to bed. This morning, I dropped the oil pan, the lid (which keeps you from making a mess while cooking) and the basket into the dishwasher. Easy peezy. We're really happy with it so far!

I’ve been using this T-fal Compact EZ Clean Stainless Steel Deep Fryer for a few weeks now and overall I’m really happy with it. It’s the perfect size for my small kitchen — doesn’t take up much counter space but still holds enough oil for 4–6 servings of fries, chicken tenders, or onion rings. The stainless steel looks clean and modern, and the frying performance is excellent: food comes out crispy, golden, and evenly cooked every time. The temperature control is accurate, the basket is sturdy, and the viewing window is actually useful. Cleanup is honestly easier than I expected for a deep fryer. The removable oil tank, basket, and lid all go in the dishwasher, and the “EZ Clean” system does a decent job. The only reason I’m giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is the oil filtration lever. It’s a little finicky — sometimes the oil drains slowly or stops flowing, and I have to gently jostle or tilt the tank to get it moving. It’s not a deal-breaker (it still filters and stores the oil fine), but it’s annoying enough that I notice it every single time I clean it. Everything else about this fryer is solid: fast heat-up, consistent frying, compact design, and it looks way nicer on the counter than most plastic models. For the price, it’s a great little machine and I’m still glad I bought it. If the filtration lever was smoother it would be a clear 5-star winner. Would recommend to anyone who wants a reliable, space-saving deep fryer and doesn’t mind a tiny extra step during cleanup.
