This air pump blows me away! Its small and compact, powerful as heck and to my amazement the thing is quiet. I mean you cant hear it if you put it in a cabinet! Sure you may hear a bit of a hum but that's to be expected just from the size of this little blue beauty. I use this in my basement for a lot of tanks but one wife rule is that she doesn't hear anything, so this is a life saver! It comes with an 8 way split but id advise splitting those individually. You may be able to get 4 or 5 sponge filters from one port. Also put a valve adjuster on each one because I'm telling you this thing is way more powerful then you think.

Runs great and doesn't heat up too badly. It is loud, so expect some noise if you are using this for an aquarium setup (like I am). I'm using this to run air through PVC pipes to 10 different 10-gallon tanks and it works perfectly. Could probably support 20-30 more, honestly.

This is my first diaphragm pump so I don't have much of a standard to judge by but it blows away piston pumps rated at the same volume. Very quiet. Good for long hose runs when needed. For me the AP-60 is running 5 stones in a 6,000 gallon pond, including the moving bed bioreactor and my oxy/sat numbers are way above what I'd hoped they'd be. That is on a total of 80ft of 3/16" air line at a max depth of 4ft. In case you missed it, it's quiet. Outside I have to be within a couple of feet to even begin to hear it.

This septic air pump is perfect for large systems, and it runs quiet. It’s a good buy for the money!
