Beautiful illustrations and a joyful simple story of mama and daughter going to the market. It is fun to read this with my daughter and relate it to the farmer’s market in our town. She loved to point out the fruits and vegetables in the book, and read the rhythmic verses, and she especially love that the characters look like her and her Asian mother. I also appreciate that the other characters in the book are multicultural too. A thoughtful, age- appropriate book for little children that promotes diversity in a subtle and joyful way.

This is a nicely written and beautifully illustrated, colourful book about two young sisters as they adventure through the food market. It has been a fun way to discuss healthy food choices with our kids. Also there is a lovely sense of family that you can see in this book, as with the Mina series. We've enjoyed it very much.

I really enjoyed reading this story. It is well-written, beautifully illustrated and teaches children all about farmers’ market. I don’t think I’ve seen one before about this subject. I like the little learnings about fruits and veggies and colors. The characters are really adorable and it’s nice to see Asian main characters.
