Life Extension Taurine, Amino Acid, 1000 mg, 90 Vegetarian Capsules

This really helps with PAC’s and PVC’s if you have those. I only bought this because my heart has been skipping like a broken record and it did so 36 times in 14 days. I saw online that some guy in Europe, his heart skips 20 to 21,000 per day and our heart beats 100,000 times a day, give or take. The thing is he doesn’t feel them and I feel mine. So with all that being said, I bought this for skipped heartbeats and or ectopic heartbeats and it’s helping a lot. I ran it by my Cardiologist and he said yes that’s a wonderful idea and he also approved of the L-Arginine with L-Citrulline as well for those skipped beats. He admitted that he gets them too and they used to really bother him and he’s one of the top Cardiologist in Cali and number 1 in San Diego. So this product only helps me feel better and the pills are easy to swallow, the price is right and I function better for it. I’m sure I’m getting other benefits but all I was looking for is a way out of these skipped or early or ectopic beats. There is so many names for this it’s not funny. Like heart palpitations is the same as what I said as well. I used to think that meant your heart was going too fast. But you guys this product comes highly recommended by me and that holds weight as I do my homework before throwing my money towards a company or product. This is a really good choice and I couldn’t be happier that this is resolving my heart issues vs me taking Beta-Blockers or other meds.

I thought I would try Taurine to find out if it really can do what it claims and I needed energy! Well, I can tell you that this brand is wonderful and is doing everything I wanted and probably needed! I feel sooooo good, I am turning my home upside down, Lol. It needed it believe me. The energy I have Is amazing. Now, I am 75 years young, and had just lost my pizzaz somewhere along the way, but this has found it again for me. Also my mood has improved as well. Suggested use is three capsules a day but I would never sleep if I did that. So one a day is doing an exceptional job and I am hoping my system does not get too used to it, but if so, I will simply add in another capsule. I am a retired RN so I do search for complementary medicine before I mention it a my doctor. I am very healthy other than the lost and now found pizzaz. I cannot wait to see what else I get from Taurine. I will continue to buy this brand as I have used it before and have no reason to believe that it is anything but a great company making great supplements. Will report back if cognitive functioning improves as I could use a little memory boost as well. For now I am happy knowing I am helping my heart and vascular system and helping my metabolism. i have been taking this supplement for tinnitus. To my amazement it started to work in less than a week. I have continued to get good results with this product including a good nights sleep and better mood. The tinnitus has not stopped but has toned down much to my relief. I have been on several review sites for this product and some state that it does not work but they may need to give it more time. On average I read that it can start to work in two weeks to two months or more so stay with it. I needed to find help regardless of price and this brand happens to be very reasonable. It has come out very well in most reviews. This brand has all the information you need on the bottle including a phone number. Check all of your medications as some can cause tinnitus. If that is the case, talk to your doctor. I took one star off because the bottle arrived with white dust, however the capsules are fine. It was not wrapped and rattled around in a box during shipment. It did arrive promptly so I am happy with the service.

Saying I am VERY skeptical when it comes to supplements would still be an understatement. The supplement industry is full of broken promises, false advertising, total lack of FDA regulation, and most of it has questionable ingredients to say the least. I preface my review with all of that to help you understand how low my expectations were when trying these pills. I also waited a full 30 days before writing this review to be certain the results were consistent, repeatable and measurable. For the last 3yrs or so my blood pressure has slowly crept up no matter what I do, I think due to sleep apnea. I eat very healthy, don't drink, don't smoke, workout to the extreme yet I nothing I did seemed to stop the slow runaway train which is my blood pressure. It started around 140/80's and slowly crept up over the last 3yrs to around 150 or 160 over 100 to 110. I tried reducing sodium in my diet, pure pomegranate juice daily, doing more cardio, etc. Long story short, nothing that I tried for cardiovascular health helped. I also tried a few different prescriptions for blood pressure but the side effects were quite annoying and they didn't even bring it down. Due to my sleep apnea I am constantly tired all day, have a hard time with short term memory (especially specific details), and I believe this is also the source of my high blood pressure. I read an article recently where they did a study on Taurine and called it the fountain of youth. One thing in particular that caught my attention was the benefits to cardiovascular health. By this point my BP was averaging 150/100 and jumping as high as 165/110 so I decided I would try Taurine before going back to a doctor and trying other prescriptions with their long list of side effects until I eventually got a dosage and medicine that worked. I needed a go/no go answer FAST on whether I would get back on prescription BP medication so I started from day one on 3 pills a day of Taurine with a plan to give up after 60 days if I got no results. The first week was a total disappointment...nada, nothing, absolutely no change--no additional energy, no change in BP, etc. At this point I was checking my BP at least 3x a day; morning afternoon, evening. I think around week 2 I noticed my BP was averaging around 140/90's which is pretty much where it typically sits on a good day anyway, so I just chalked that up to less sodium intake that week or something like that. At the beginning of week 2 I suddenly got a 120/70 reading, it still wasn't very exciting because I was already getting random perfect readings before the Taurine (few and far between but still occasionally it would happen). Week 2 continues and around the middle of the week suddenly I am getting dizzy in the middle of the day, I can't stand up quickly, and I just get a slight dizziness like I am on a slow moving ship. I check my BP and it starts hitting lows of 110/70 and highs of 130/90. The dizziness was me being so unused to "normal" BP that I felt it when it was that "low" for me. I keep going with 3 pills a day and keep getting dizzy and hitting lows I hadn't seen in years. Week 3 rolls around and my BP solidly averages around 120's over 80's, the dizziness is mostly gone and I am finally convinced that maybe the Taurine is doing something. It is now Week 4, I still get random 140's over 90's but those are now the exception vs the norm, my norm in week 4 (this week as I write this) is around 125/75 and I am still taking Taurine 3x a day. I am disappointed that I don't get this boost of energy that many other reviews are reporting, I am still tired all day.....but a very subtle benefit is that my memory seems to have improved somewhat. I can now remember details such as strings of numbers and characters and people's names when they tell it to me once whereas before I would have to have it right in front of me. Honestly I don't even care about the memory part, I can work around that (write things down, etc.), but the effect it has had on my BP is just incredible to me. I truly hope it continues like this and doesn't stop working one day; I will always prefer the natural route before taking prescription medication.

Taurine is one of my favorite supplements! These are easy to swallow and I’ve never had stomach upset at all. My Physician recommended these for their nice health benefits and I agree, these work for me.

This is pretty good, I take it along with my BP medication and it appears to help keep my BP from rising, so it actually works with my meds, which does not do a good job when taking them alone. It states to take 1 pill up to 3x/day, but I take two pills twice a day along with my meds. You can actually take up to 6 pills a day; as for the palpitation, I suppose, my palpitation has slowed down, I still have them, but perhaps not as often. I'm so glad I purchase this. I'm hoping, it makes my pressure stay WNP. These are vegetarian and they support cardiovascular health, it's only been a week so hopefully, I can increase the ratings after a month. It says to take them on an empty stomach or as directed, but I do not take them on an empty stomach. There is some evidence that it improves the function of the left ventricle, one of the chambers of the heart. Taurine might also improve heart failure because it seems to lower blood pressure and calm the sympathetic nervous system, which is often too active in people with high blood pressure and CHF. The sympathetic nervous system is the part of the nervous system that responds to stress. Taurine has powerful effects on the heart and blood vessels. People with higher levels of taurine have significantly lower rates of dying from coronary heart disease, they have lower body mass index, lower blood pressure, and lower levels of dangerous lipids. Many different mechanisms account for these powerful effects on the heart and blood vessels.
