Not easy to build, but does the job well
This large caging has done a great job of containing a mother cat and her 4 elder semi-feral and rowdy kittens. Set up was a bit of a pain solo (literally, I was sore after) but doable. Just make sure everything is truly clipped in and check your levels closely before moving onto the next. The provided clips and zip ties are helpful for support but the tiny hammer was completely useless. When I do it again I’ll put a tarp underneath - there are small spaces in between the squares of the floor so spilled water or litter or food will get between and under the base. If you’re routinely entering and exiting, the clips on the door are very annoying but do the job. I’m not a small person, but I can comfortable stand and sit inside after ducking sideways through the door. This would be more difficult if you have mobility limitations. The shelving is useful and convenient to hold food and treats but not solid enough for spray bottles or other cleaning supplies to stand upright on their own. They definitely wouldn’t be sturdy enough for litter. I really like that I can take it all apart and put it away with little storage space necessary and pull it back out when needed vs. caging that is a solid piece - super convenient for an occasional kitten foster with limited space. Would recommend (bring your patience for building) and will use again. I bought some extra hammocks and needed them, the provided hammock broke about a week in after extensive playing and snoozing. If you need to use a large litter box for multiple kitties, there’s really only one spot for it which is right in the middle of the floor due to the stabilizers around the cage floor. This means you can’t easily include a tall scratching post or tower in the space. The cats also had some trouble using the ramps to get from level to level, but figured out how to work around it.

Not a bad unit, reasonably sturdy
I bought this because I have two 10lb +/- cats who spray in the house and just can't be left alone long term without destroying the place. I'm not sorry I bought this at all but here are some pros and cons: Pros: Sturdy enough for my two cats Spacious at 5x5x6 tall Would be suitable for small kittens too I found the included zip ties adequate Cons: It is a pain to put together. Hubby and I are as "Profesional" as the manual would want a person to be and it took us about 2.5 hours. If we'd known how hard it would be, we would have framed up the same with 2x4s and livestock fencing. It probably would have cost the same. The bottom doesn't quite serve my purpose. It's made of 12" squares covered with vinyl that get clipped together. It's not a solid bottom, so if they urinate, it will still end up on my floor. The plastic pieces that hold the panels together leave 1.5" lumps on the floor, so if you want to put a litter box and a scratching post in there, they won't sit flat. I'm not 100% sold that the vinyl is going to be cat-proof. A big cat could sink their claws in there and tear it open if they were determined. So far so good with mine, but it's only been a week. If you have a house panther, be advised! Overall, I'm still pretty happy with it. Put it together with a friend, alone would be a nightmare. Don't do it tired or hungry and you'll be fine. Update: My 2 9lb cats spent 2 weeks in it while we were away. It held up, mostly. One of the shelves they sit on fell down and I can't get it back together now that it's all zip tied together. Another sitting shelf is slit right down one side. I don't know if it split when one jumped on it or it ripped from one of their claws. I will continue to use it overnights.

perfect!
i'm upgraded my cat cage since they quickly outgrew their kitten cage. i bought the big cage and i'm splitting it in two, one for inside and one to make a catio. this was kind of a hassle to put together but it really wasn't hard, i didn't need the instructions after i got the basic idea. i didn't need to use zip ties around the cage but i tightly zip tied all the "shelves" and i think it helped the whole thing be sturdy. this set up alone is really tall and spacious for my two cats, definitely a deal for the money, and i have so many left over panels that i can make the cation even bigger than this one. happy over all 😊

Poor quality, and barely holding together!
I am usually more than happy to work with less-than-stellar quality products, but this takes the cake for the worst I've ever encountered! As soon as I opened the box I knew this product wasn't worth ten dollars, let alone the $100+ being asked. The outer shell of the enclosure is flimsy, easily bent metal that can, if you aren't careful, be snapped completely in half! The entirety of the squares provided for the enclosure need to be zip-tied 3-4 times just to maintain shape and stay together, and the flooring at the bottom of the enclosure isn't hard plastic but is instead a thin layer of moveable vinyl that will be shredded in seconds by kitten nails. This same vinyl is what is meant to be used for the cats to jump onto and sit on. The squares provided as seating inside the enclosure are somehow worse than the outer shell! The thin vinyl can be moved by poking it gently because it is so thin and, if you poke hard enough, your finger goes right through. A kitten of five pounds is about the only cat I can see being able to sit on this material, and then falling right through the first time they jump on it! Overall, this is the most cheap and unuseable product I have stumbled across or purchased and I do not recommend it for any pet parent. It wouldn't work for ferrets, bunnies, cats, etc...and should be taken off the market completely until a more sturdy design is crafted to replace this. Perhaps if you're willing to engineer a hard-plastic square of the same size, provided on your own dime, to replace the vinyl this product comes with then the cat enclosure would work. But who wants to do that for the price asked!? My final verdict is to run, not walk, from this product and find something of higher quality or you'll end up with a product you simply can't use!

Worked great while traveling in RV during move. We constructed it to fit over table seating area. 5 cats traveled safely and comfortably

Be prepared to reinforce everything and it’s great!
It works well, and it’s versatile. With a little creativity and reinforcement in the right places, you can build it how ever you want. Use the zip ties everywhere, and get more, they are structural in the design. The door is a little cumbersome but it’s functional. It would be helpful if extra parts were available. Over all it”s a good kennel that could easily get all 5 stars with improved door system, and being able to purchase or replace parts. Update: The seller is great! The product uses poor quality material. Plan on covering all vinyl floor, roof, and perch sections with material that can withstand cat’s claws. If you’re prepared to make sure the vinyl can’t be ripped apart, and use several hundred zip ties, it’s actually quite awesome. 75% of the vinyl have shredded, but could have easily been prevented by using anything strong enough to withstand cats clawing them. I rebuilt this one using 1/16”x 12” x 12” plywood, intended for model building. The cats really do love it, and have plenty of room to play. I will buy another one at some point, and properly reinforce it while putting it together. You must use ample zip ties on the floor, in case you ever need to move it, otherwise it will come apart when it’s moved. Plan to use around 800-1000 zip ties if you want it to be solid. Two on each side of every panel and 4 on each side of every floor and roof panel. I’ve had this one for about 2 years, so it can be built to last, with a knowledge of its flaws, and a little extra effort. Overall it’s light weight is an advantage, it’s size is perfect at 55”x55”x69”. This product could easily get 5 stars with better material that can hold up to claws, better welding at the factory, and having replacement parts available.

Big nice cat cage
The cat cage is really nice and big. I think suitable for small cats or kittens. At first it was tricky getting the cage going, to be built; but it got easier as you went. I used more zip ties than they gave us. I bought this for my ferrets and it worked after I adding reinforcements around the cage. Ferrets can fit through the holes! I had to take apart their old cage and zip tie pieces of their old cage around it. I also added some extra barriers inside the cage. So if you are thinking for a ferret, it can be done but you need to get extra things. My ferrets love it now. But it added a few extra hours to make it ferret proof.

Challenging to put together, but awesome once it's done!
I bought this catio kit because I had to take in several of a friend's cats who were semi-feral and could not be integrated into my personal cats' environment. It took three of us about 5 hours to assemble the catio, and we found the "tool" (which we jokingly called Maxwell's silver hammer) to be totally useless. The assembly instructions are just a diagram. We found that a couple of good pairs of pliers were the most effective tools for crimping the panels into the plastic holders. BE SURE TO SECURE EVERY SINGLE JOINT WITH ZIP TIES! And that means you will probably have to invest in additional zip ties. This structure is intended for cats of normal size. The two bruisers you see in the pictures are very chubby cats - like 25 lbs each. This catio was not meant to house chonky cats. They managed to bend & break several panels before I got smart and reinforced the shelves with wood to distribute their weight. Because they are actually living in the catio (as opposed to recreating) I covered the floor with rubber matting to make it easier on their paws and much easier to clean. If these bozos ever get to go home with their Mom, I intend to dismantle the catio and re-construct it on my veranda for my indoor kitties to enjoy. It's been a challenge, but definitely worth the money in spite of the bumps in the road.

Happy Cats - Happy Life!
I have 2 big indoor ragdoll cats. I used to have a small catio, which they loved, but as I had the space I thought I'd try something bigger. This is so great, you can build it to whatever size, shape you like as it's all modular. It's light weight and easy to move, but sturdy enough to keep the girls safe. It was easy to assemble and will be easy to disassemble when I move to take it with me. My girls approve, which is all I want!
