These are very nice flashlight / lanterns, for the price paid. I expect they will work well during a power outage or when camping. They are lightweight but seem sturdy and can sit on a flat surface or be hung. And having different ways to power them is a bonus! Very pleased with this purchase.

I purchased these lanterns as a gift to my daughter whose apartment complex seems to lose power regularly. She is in a basement apartment in a building covered with ivy, so when the power and lights go out, it's DARK in there! These are perfect for her situation.I also purchased some for my camper. While we can run electricity and/or use the battery to run lights, I try to avoid running the battery down when we're on the road, so I use these lights instead. Because our camper is "wee" (only 15'), just 2 of these light up the entire thing. I bought the lights back in September. They came partially charged, so I fully charged them from my laptop once and haven't had to charge them since, even after leaving them in the freezing cold camper all winter! Very impressive. We do have USB charging ports built into the camper, so we can just run a cord to one to charge these at will when they finally run out of charge, OR charge them from the computer.Easy to use, just pop open the top (lift straight up) and adjust up or down for the amount of light you want/need.I use the folding handles to hang the light from a Command hook on the wall in the camper when I need light over the beds, or set them on a flat surface to brighten the whole space.The flashlight feature is super bright and shines fairly far for the style.Compact size is perfect for small spaces, but with big, adjustable light for larger spaces. I'm extremely pleased. They've been a useful purchase.

It slowly charges in any daylight. Direct sunlight is not necessarily needed. The lantern part is dim, but it lasts for many hours. The flashlight part is brighter, but still a bit dim for a flashlight. That's fine by me. I would rather have a long burn time than have it be bright. I can supplement it with brighter flashlights that don't last as long.I tried testing it and the dim lantern part stayed lit for like 8 hours before I got tired of waiting for it to run down the battery. They claim 6-11 hours run time. I think that's realistic. 5 stars are well deserved.

The lanterns work fine but they feel very cheaply made with very thin plastic. For home use during a power outage I'm sure they will be fine but I can't imagine they would survive rough usage such as a camping trip might entail. The light is bright enough without being blinding. USB charging works well, can't really speak to solar recharging. Overall, I'm satisfied with the purchase.

These are great for blackouts hurricanes power outages. They’re very bright and they could be recharged in the sun. I really appreciate having them.

Both lights are very bright and work well, however the USB port must be separately charged--with cord, will not work with solar charger, and will only charge an android phone, not an iphone. Not bad for the money.

These came charged and the light is bright. I'm charging my Google phone with the light right now. Very happy with these!
