Well, after the fourth attempt I finally received one that was not damaged. It's hard to say who was at fault here because the first three had cracks in the plastic. The boxes were not overly damaged, but did have some holes in them. I can say that this product comes in the manufacture's box (as stated by Amazon) and is not double boxed because of the size. I called Amazon after the third damaged item arrived and they did take them off line for a few days to check their stock. After placing it back online I ordered the fourth one and it arrived with no problems. The cutter itself is fine and works as it should. I have no complaints with it. It should last a long time and by the previous reviews it got, should be fine. Now if they could only get it to us in one piece first time around.

Bought this for my warehouse to use cause they somehow broke the other one. So far it’s holding out pretty well for how rough they use it. Blade is sharp to cut through the sticker papers, works well and good value.

This is the best trimmer I have ever purchased, I use it for card making to cut my heavy weight cardstock, the wood is great and smooth and the color is my favorite, it locks automatically as soon as you push the lever down, its wonderful love this trimmer.

This cutter is nice and solid, and looks very professional. However, I found that even if I hold my left hand down flat on the paper while I'm cutting, the bottom of the sheet of paper does not stay flat, but buckles as the blade comes down, resulting in a crooked cut. In addition, there is a safety loop underneath the end of the blade, and you must hold this loop up and to the right in order to cut, simultaneously making sure, of course, that you hold the blade to the left, snug against the cutter. Sorry, I can't wrap my brain around this. This is an automatic safety loop, and there are dire warnings on the cutter about removing it. If you don't hold it up, it hangs down under the blade, blocking you from finishing your cut. With the best of intentions, no doubt this is a wonderful safety feature. It also makes this the most unpleasant cutter I've ever used. I'm returning it immediately and will try the 18x18 X-Acto, which I see does not combine the inches and metric markings, like their smaller one does.

Works very well and I appreciate the blade locking mechanism so I'm happy with my purchase but for the price, I would like to have seen something better then a particle board base - either hardwood or plywood.

This is a good cutter but not great. It is expensive, but not really worth it. It does not cut very well unless you pull the handle hard and close to the edge. I would not recommend it.

I really like this paper trimmer. It is heavy duty and does a great job. This is the second one that I have had and will continue to use this brand. It did arrive with a broken plastic part but that was replaced quickly. Thank you.

This paper trimmer is the best I have found. It is sturdy, yet not too heavy to carry from one table to another. It cuts cleanly and the handle locks down tightly. It is used in a city government building and gets used constantly and still looks new and works like a charm.

This product fell apart the first time we tried to use it.
