JARLINK 30X 60X Illuminated Jewelers Loupe Magnifier

This is my first time ever using a jeweler’s loupe, and as a beginner coin collector, I’m genuinely impressed. The clarity and detail this little magnifier provides really brings coins to life. I keep finding myself spotting tiny features, mint marks, die cracks, scratches, and other imperfections that I never noticed before. It’s amazing how much detail is hiding in plain sight. The built-in LED light is a game changer. It provides bright, even lighting that makes inspecting coins much easier without having to search for the perfect light source. It really helps reveal the fine details that can easily be missed. Despite its small size, this loupe feels well made. It’s lightweight, compact enough to fit in your pocket or coin bag, and simple to use. The 30X and 60X magnification options give you flexibility depending on what you’re examining. While I bought it primarily for coin collecting, I can already tell it’ll be great for inspecting jewelry, gemstones, stamps, watches, and other small collectibles. For around $12, this is one of the best values I’ve found since starting coin collecting. It performs far better than I expected for the price and has exceeded my expectations. I bought this loupe specifically for inspecting the blade edges on my kitchen knives to help optimize my sharpening procedures. Both magnifications of the loupe work very well and having the internal LED lighting is convenient. Contrary to some of the reviews I saw here, the lighting was well aligned with the optics. There is a switch to change which LED is illuminating the field of view depending on whether one is using the 30X or 60X loupe -- and so if the wrong LED is chosen, then of course the lighting will not be aligned properly. (One minor complaint-- since the switch is right next to the LEDs one ends up looking at the LEDs when they are first switched on or when one shuts them off. They are so bright it is a bit blinding. One potential design improvement would be to put the switch on the top or on the side.). Also contrary to one of the reviews I saw, the loupe does not have to be place directly on the object. For the 60X loupe, I find that the optics are in focus with the bottom of the loupe about 5 mm away from the object; for the 30X loupe, it is focus with the bottom at about 10 mm from the object. Image quality is quite good for the 30X loupe the image is sharp over most of the field of view. On the 60X loupe the image is sharp for the center for about 50% of the field of view, but then degrades near the edges. For me, that is ok, since I really only needed the 30X loupe and even with its more limited field I think the 60X loupe will still come in handy. Love this item. I’ve used to read stamps on jewelry to determine if 14k or gold plated, and other jewelry stamp marks. I like having the option of 30x or 60x magnification. Have used both lenses and best of is the LED lights that make it so much easier to read. It was a great buy!

Excellent jewelers loupe I needed this to verify the serial number on my wife’s wedding ring after cleanings and the 60X magnifier with illumination works perfect. Great product great price!

This is ok. The batteries don't last very long. The center of the lens is clear but the sides were a little less than clear. It's ok for begining hobbyistbut not if you're going to be using it all day.

Works good wish it was more magnifying but still works good for checking jewelry and close ups of plants and rocks. Quality is ok. It did fall apart after 3 times using it but just be careful not to mess with the glass. I put it right back together and still in good condition.

I use this exclusively for Magic the Gathering cards, so I'm afraid this won't be a useful review for the world of an actual jeweler. If you're looking for a way to be extra-sure that any cards you buy from people through various websites & apps are legitimate, this'll get the job done. The lenses are clear, the magnification is more than what you'd even need, and the light is *BRIGHT* (ask my eyes how I found that one out). I feel much more confident with the cards in my collection now that I can see the signs of counterfeits to look for myself. I haven't had to replace the battery yet as I've just received it, but I'm hoping it's not as troublesome as some reviewers have mentioned.

This Loupe is great. the two magnifier options are perfect for notice different markings or details in any stone, specially with the included lighting. The smaller loupe also allows you to see the serial number of a stone.
